yet again not had chance to be on here last few days, its been hectic...
the daring card makers blog weekly extra was to make a male card which worked out quite well cause it was my lovely terrys birthday on saturday... wasnt entirely happy with it as it took me about four hours to make inbetween bottles, nappies and settling... so lost enthusiam for it to be honest! made a card from the boys too, just a plain and simple boyish one for their daddy.

but to end on a happy note, riley slept for 5 hours last night and went for 7 and a half hours without a bottle - so mega happy that i've had some quality sleep...

cant wait for the postman tomorrow either - ordered some great scrapbooking items -

also our rabbits had bunnies! they are three weeks old now, but heres a photo of them so far, they are gorgeous, penelope is a very good mummy and parker hates been away from her.

in the fold

Well abit late but bit busy over the weekend, but heres my take on the Daring card makers challenge, you had to make a card with more than one fold in it.
Which was perfect because I have just finished all of the birth announcements for Riley and its more than one fold! So here goes...
Bazzil cardstock, gorgeous photo of Riley (of course) and teddies are materials used...

This weeks extra...

Well i decided to give this weeks extra on the 'daring card makers' blog a go, Riley sleeps so well in the day!!! so I had a moment to myself to come up with this.
This weeks extra is 'back in time - 70's style

My inspiration for the colours was taken from my first rented house!!! God that house was bad, everything was green and brown floral, nightmare....
I've used some shimmering brown cardstock, angel kiss flower, green scrap paper and lots of doodles...

Hope you like...

what a day...

Weather is awful, thankfully for the first day of Jacks school holiday I met up with his old childminder at the local Kids playcentre and spent majority of day there.
Kids had a great time, so did we, chit chatting as you do when you get together with people you havent seen for ages.
Riley was brilliant, slept the whole time, part from bottle time then went straight back to sleep.
Purchased some craft items today, to finish off Rileys announcement and thank you cards, and some small empty paint tins to decorate to sell at craft fairs - hopefully - lol.

Just chilling now in the warmth of home, whilst Terry is working busily on a roof in Essex!!!! Bless him, hope its not too windy for him, he'll certainly be getting wet anyways...

my help is going...

Well, Terry had two weeks paternity leave and went back to work last week, so my mom has been here for a week, helping out and spending time with her grandsons, which she has throughly enjoyed.
Dads coming to pick her up today though with my niece Megan, they have missed her terribly, poor Megan has lived on chips for a week, lol.
So I'll be going it alone as from tomorrow, Jack is on school holidays too, so we have plenty arranged, play centres, baking, painting and much more. All inbetween feeds and sleeps for Riley of course.
Well a big thank you to mum for all her help this week.

sooo tired...

After looking through other blog sites, which are pretty amazing I must say, I found this little moodster which I believe shows how I'm feeling today, major lack of sleep is taking its toll - lol.

finally a spare few minutes...

I've been checking out 'Daring Card Makers' for some time now, and finally found a few spare moments to myself (whilst Riley was asleep) to come up with this weeks challenge!
It's my first go - so hopefully it's okay.

This week at DCMs You are being Dared to make a card that is inspired by 'All Things Media'. The dare has been set by our Gillian:
It's around us no matter which way we turn, and all designed to get our attention. Ads designed by graphic designers who know all the tricks & techniques to draw our eyes to the product in question. You only have to glance at a Newspaper quickly to read headings with 'Shock' titles & 'Clever' puns all designed to make you want to read what the article is all about!Maybe you have been inspired by an Ad in a magazine, the colours or design that has been used. Or incorporate actual magazines & newspapers onto your card; maybe chop up letters (ransom note style) to create the sentimentSo grab that latest edition of your favourite Mag, or pick up your newspaper, because there is so much inspiration there, Just waiting for you to discover!

I took my inspiration from the fact that I've just had another baby so it's all baby stuff and magazines in the house at the moment.
I used some white card stock and basic grey scrap paper, some die cuts for the nappy pin and bottle, and made a small nappy out of felt and a tiny pin.

Check out the other great cards at http://daringcardmakers.blogspot.com/

Could be a perfect advert for a sleepy baby - lol - only problem been here that Riley loves sleeping in the day and struggles to settle at night! boo hoo - hence so tired and no time to card make at the moment.

But I enjoyed doing the challenge so muach that I will definatley be logging on next week and for the little extra too.
