SPOOKY

Wow, we've certainly had the halloween creepies here tonight, loads of kids knocking on the door for their sweeties, I loved it. The best had to be a gorgeous little un who was barely walking dressed as Count Dracula - a right little gem he was, especially when he tried to take the whole bag of sweeties - lol.
Jack enjoyed his party and trick or treating - I think!
Well thats another year of spookiness over with so i'll leave you with my carved pumpkins, stupidly I bought the small pumpkin, so I couldnt even get a whole scary face on, but I think I did well considering.

Night night, dont let the bed bugs bite - x

DCM - Little Extra

This is a little extra that DCM did last week I think, but I had something in mind and only just got round to doing it! Infact I liked the sketch that much I made two! and I dare say I wont stop at two either...

Products are white cardstock, all papers are from last years christmas stash! KZ 3d stickers.
More paper crumpling, I must be blooming obsessed lol.

BOO

Happy Halloween Everyone
Here's a card I made for Jack & Riley, very 'o-range'Was a tad annoyed with myself cause I smudged the white pen! That's impatience for you for wanting to tie a ribbon!! Lesson learned.
Jack is off to a friends Halloween party tonight and they are taking him trick or treating. After school he's gonna come home and we are going to carve our two little pumpkins - hehe.
I have my witches bag at the ready by the door waiting for all those little kiddies coming knocking!

Catch up for HS-MS today, so busy yesterday.
Bedroom - Do you have a fave spot or piece of furniture in your bedroom? Show us.

I really love big bold wallpapers on a feature wall, too scared to have it downstairs as the cats would probably scratch it off!! eek. This is on the fireplace wall in our room, hard to photo as its quite shiny paper, but I love it.
Drawer - Have you a favourite drawer - be it messy or tidy? So show us xx

Where I use to live, I didn't have one kitchen drawer, now I have 3! yippee - so this one is filled to the brim with kitchen gadgets and cake making stuff!

What a day!

Busy busy bee today, ended up stopping at the school for a coffee and a chat with some other peeps, chilled at home for awhile before deciding to pop into town at the last minute before picking Jack up from school.
Got him his first halloween costume which was for the beavers party tonight
Jacks quite an emotional little fella so putting this on was a real effort at first, bless him.
Believe it or not Riley is actually mid laughter in this photo but it made me chuckle as it seems like he is screaming...

Tonight was a big night at beavers for these three as they were invested into beavers and got their neck tie and woggle, a very proud moment for all of us parents I think seeing this

Gutted though cause the photo turned out rubbish! Hope yours turned out okay Cazz!

I'm having another go for a design team post, I never succeed but love having a go anyway, there is so much talent out there and I am no where near close but hey. So heres a peek at something I made last night towards my entry.

Too dark to photograph my favourite space in our bedroom by the time I remembered! So will play catch up tomorrow for HS-MS.
Night night x

HS-MS - Bathroom & Window!

A problem with our laptop battery meant that I havent been able to play with HS-MS for a few days so I thought I'd play catch up (sadly not with sps and sos) and I still have the dreaded flu.

Friday was Bathroom - Sadly our bathroom is a grey suite!!! It will be replaced one day! Our favourite family item in the bathroom though is our toilet seat! What - I hear you say! But its all glittery... LOOK...A short story, quite some time ago, we went to London with some friends of ours, ended up in a cocktail bar and Terry came rushing back from the toilet 'You gotta go and see whats in there'!!!
Went rushing in there and it was this toilet seat!!!! Hence he got it as a joke christmas present from moi!!! I know, wierd arent we - lol.

Today is Window - Show the whole window, the curtains and window decoration.
I did have to cheat a little, cause it kept going dark, so you got 3/4 of the window.

Its Jacks room, all his wooden toys, car 'movie' toys are on there. Everywhere else in the house all the window ledges are bare as I like them uncluttered a) because I just do and b) cause the cats would knock it all off anyway - No honey the cats DO NOT rule this house!!! lol

Yummy Goodies & HS-MS

Have you ever hugged a postal box before! Wow I did this morning when Mr Postie came knocking, as soon as I saw the box I knew what lay waiting inside!
B a s i c G r e y . . . ummmmmmm... My self addressed kit was running late this month due to them waiting on an item.
I actually stood for a moment and hugged my box!!! strange but true, and when I opened it, I hugged it all the more ~

How scrummy yummy does all these goodies look ~ the mellow and recess range from BG

HS-MS today is the hallway ~ Whats your favourite spot.Well our hallway leads to the kitchen and living room, so this is the other space that has recently been decorated - a few times!!! The wood was originally pink gloss when we moved in with blue carpet and woodchip walls - a nightmare I can tell you. We stripped and stained the wood, that made the hallway look too dark so we then white glossed it all, and now we love it, another space in home I'm pretty proud of - thanks honey hehehe x

Still full of the flu, at the stage where I'm coughing up lovely 'green stuff' :-( x

HS-MS ~ Chrimbo Cards ~ Altered Art & Flu!!!

I'll start with the latter! I have the flu big time now, what didnt help was Riley waking just before midnight and not going back to sleep till 3am!!! I had to bring him downstairs in the end as he was coughing his guts up bless him, and just when you want to scream cause your ill and so tired, he looked at me and did pat-a-cake, how sweet, bless him.
He's currently asleep in the buggy as we popped to the shop this morning for some fresh air.

HS-MS - This next week will see us finding those little spots around our home that we just love. It might be a corner of a cabinet or it might be a little trinket in a certain room. Today I would like you all to find your favourite spot/piece in your lounge. We've actually just redecorated our living room, so it is my favourite at the moment. New sofa, fireplace, tv, flooring, but I love this end of the room as the cabinet has my lovely NAO figurines in - and I'm loving my new sofa too hehe...
I'm also playing catch up, the last colours in the rainbow were violet and 'pink' was chosen rather than having two purples!!!I am a sucker for filing things, these are just a few of my folders in the house (trust me I have lots more!!! lol)

I've also decided that I love doing my crumpled christmas trees that much, these are going to be my christmas cards that I send out! There great because they use up little bits of your scrap pp, and dont take too much time to make either, heres a couple to show you.
and last of all I quickly altered a box last night, it was just a small blue gift box, a couple of scrap pp later and I came up with this! Bo Bunny ~ earth splatter & Basic Grey ~ sugar plum papers, green button from stash.
Defo got a thing for making distressed flowers at the moment. I may add some rub-ons to the side, I've just ordered some so if I do, I'll post again, as I'm sure it will look very different. Dont know what I'll use it for yet but hey, its crafting right, which is always a good thing.

Thats enough for today! x Till tomorrow

Papertake sneak peek!

Here's a sneak peek of my papertake challenge, no more crafting for me, too full of the flu, its not really very helpful when I start sneezing on a project! lol

Monday 22 October 2007

Lots...

...done today, some new stationery uploaded to website, altered art and card crafting.
All was interrupted as my gorgeous fella came home today from his Nans, he had a pressie waiting for him of the Spiderman 3 kind, so we sat down and watched that and had some great fun.

My website is offline at the moment whilst I am updating with new designs, but I thought I'd post a few on here for all to see. (Thats the thing with Wedding Stationery, you want it to be perfect but its also got to be reproduced 'lots' of time so has to be pretty easy too)

I've also added some Thank You Bridesmaid cards with images from pink petticoat, I love the Lola Rose and Lilli range

More to share tomorrow, night night till then x

Tiring Day

Woke up feeling more bunged up today! Great, I did manage to crack on and do some housework jobs, whilst Tel carried on with Rileys room - cant wait till its finished, its gonna be great. Still feel pretty crappy now, so off to bed in a mo, no crafting other than wedding samples that have been ordered.
The new challenge over at PaperCraft Junkies went live tonight, so pop over and have a go - its Time! you know x
Hopefully feel better tomorrow so I can do some more long awaited crafting!

PCJ Challenge 10

- is Autumn - Well my idea of autumn is berries and satsumas, falling leaves and cold dark nights. My card I dont believe is too great but I am feeling quite rundown today.Products used are Chatterbox papers - Olive Orchard Blossom, Vera de Muis decoupage, skeleton leaves and naturally lots of doodling!
I dont have any satsuma embellishments so hence card photo took on fruit!!! lol
Not really happy with the photos but its a tad dark here now - oh well. x

HS-MS ~ Blue & SPS

I'm playing catch up, I had such a busy day yesterday, I was worn out in the evening. Riley had his 7mth check up and he is 'on target' as they say, but my doctor can still hear his heart murmur and said it can just be that he will always have it but wont have any problems with it. We have a follow up hospital appt in November so we'll see then.
HS-MS yesterday was BlueI love this small vase and freesias look perfect in it - one of my favourite flowers.
Today is SPS!! I hate this and have only participated a few times. This morning I woke up feeling like muck! A perfect end to a perfect week!! yeah right, so this photo hopefully shows how flu like I feel - argh poor me.
I do have a special message for some 'friends' of mine, sadly I opened my mouth and admitted that back in the 80's I somewhat liked The HOFF! and dear god have I paid for it since, my facebook is now full (and I'm sure they dont think its full enough) of pictures and videos of The HOFF! So Cazz and F-i-o-n-a watch this space, I'm gonna get ya.... xI'll leave with a photo of my gorgeous little fella who nicely fell asleep on his playmat - bless x

Thursday 18 October 2007

Umm

I've been abit snappy this evening! Need some fresh air me thinks, but its too late in the day to be out walking, so gonna have a good long walk tomorrow me thinks! Seems as Jack is off school we can maybe pop to the local country park for an hour.
I saw this picture and quote and to be honest, it kind of summed up how I'm feeling! sometimes that is... its tiny but I couldnt get it any bigger!

Tomorrow is always a better day (yeah right - not this week it aint - lol)
Off to bed oh and quick ***wave*** to Amanda :-) x Night night

HS-MS ~ Green

Todays prompt at HS-MS is Green, still following on with the rainbow theme, I actually have two today as I couldnt decide! This is Jacks favourtie mug
and of course, lovely vouchers from Tesco! lol Very green and for a good cause - must remember to hand them in though.

Wednesday 17 October 2007

Papercraft Junkie swop

I've joined another ATC swop over at Papercraft Junkie, the theme this time been ~ Vintage ~My idea behind my cards are vintage sewing! I bought these rub on's a lifetime ago (sat there ever since) and they look pretty vintage, so I used cream and green cardstock, kept the LO of the cards pretty plain, I distressed, inked, rubbed with a teabag to age a little - hopefully.
Hope my recipient likes them.

HS-MS ~ Yellow & ATC's

HS-MS today is Yellow in the rainbowI was looking for something and struggling really, but then I noticed and couldnt believe how much yellow there is in Rileys toy box! I finished my last set of ATC's for Clares Crafty Cabin, this was an Especially for you design, we all had to fill out quite a few questions about ourselves and then it would be given to someone to see what they came up with for you! I hope I've done a good enough job for my recipient.A few favourites of my recipients are summer ~ hence blue sky and flowery paper ~ which I kept the theme going through all three, Disneyland was another favourite ~ hence Minnie and handstitching, Lucky 7 ~ favourite number, Marshmallows and pink been a fav too... Hope you like whoever you are - although I'm got an idea it may be Clare!!!
More later x

Tuesday 16 October 2007

HS-MS ~ Orange

I'm very late putting this up today, but I've had yet another one of those days!
Jack had a dentist appt for two fillings, he sat there really good whilst his mouth was been injected and then he cried and wouldnt let them do the cleaning and filling bit!! so now they are saying he is going to have to have 'two' teeth removed via the hospital - I'm really thinking about getting a second opinion.. I was so angry and upset, you obviously want the best for your child and Jack not been co-operative didnt really help, so he got more upset when he saw that I was upset and it went on and on from there.
But well - this is my life at the moment, always a drama!!! Bless him.
Although he did get some good news, after the half term holidays he is going to be invested into beavers which is great, cause then he can have his uniform and start doing his badges - so I dare say they'll be photos of my proud little un on here very soon.
Anyways HS-MS ~ Orange, following on from red in the rainbow Bit of a dark photo but I had to wait so you would see it light up Orange! lol
This was Jacks and its one of the very few baby items I kept for some reason (even thinking/knowing back then I would certainly have no more children!!! Yeah right, got that wrong - lol) Riley loves this piano though - bless him.
No crafty bits to show at the moment, be back tmz x

Monday 15 October 2007

OMG

Its amazing how a bad day can turn good ~ to start with the bad, without going into too much detail!! Why is it, when people email you, you then discuss it with them, they then turn round and say they meant something else!! When you know they didnt!!!
This I must admit upset me a great deal but upset in the anger way! but I'm calmer now...

Then to make things brilliant, I ~ yes me ~ actually won a bloody challenge ~ yippee, I cannot tell you how excited I was when I got the email. So a big thank you to the design team over at Papercraft Junkies for choosing my ATC's for the Challenge 9 of pink!
Prior to 'the' email I was photographing my new wedding stationery designs! So hopefully by tomorrow my website will be updated.
Jack is off school tomorrow as he is having '2' fillings bless him, he was so brave having one last time, I hope he's a big boy tomorrow.
I hate it though, I constantly get questioned by the dentist, does he eat too many sweets, he must do! and hand on heart, he does not. He has 'hopefully' just got very weak milk teeth, hopefully his big teeth will come through very strong.

Right thats me for tonight me thinks, I'll go to bed on a high knowing that my creative streak can lead me to win one challenge at least - thank you again PCJ x

HS-MS ~ Red

Todays challenge on HS-MS is the colour Red. One of my favourite books is this one! Once you start reading about the red shoes, you are truly hooked to this amazing little girl.
*EDITED BIT* ~ Most of the comments left are about not hearing of this particular book, so here is a link about the author and of course Hannah ~ if you get to read it, please let me know how it affected you?

I havent updated at all over the weekend, been a tad busy or had my mind on other things.
Friends came over Saturday night and we had a chinese ~ yum yummy yum ~ I had a couple of glasses of wine and found myself giggling for quite a while (can you tell the Mummy in me doesnt drink anymore - I only need half a glass and I'm gone!)
Sunday was visiting Terrys dad as he had a knee op awhile ago, so cant really get about, so we visit him every weekend and then just back to the general bore of household chores!
Right off to do some crafting and laundry! If they can possibly be done together that is.
BBL x

Friday 12 October 2007

Nevermind!

Awhile ago I entered a competition over on Sketch this card for a design team member, but sadly I didnt become one, so now I can show you my entries.
I cant remember any of the products used at the moment, so I will edit this tomorrow!
Thinking about it I suppose I didnt really add enough sentiment etc, oh well hey ho-hey hum I'm just not destined to become part of a design team! lol x

Thursday 11 October 2007

HS-MS ~ Game

A form of play or sport.
No crafting done for a couple of days so nothing else to show! x

CPS #34 ~ Papertake ~ Di Hickman & HS-MS

What miserable weather today! It hasn't stopped raining all day. The thought of the school run and then home and then back out again for beavers then home then back out again to slimming makes me feel very cold!
To cheer me up though, here's a few challenges I've completed.
First up CPS sketch #34Products used are My Minds Eye Bohemia Boulevard papers ~ Our son tiny dots, family ties & harlequin. My brother journaling card. Green card stock and ric rac from stash.
I distressed the edges of the pp and inked and distressed the 'golf' wording. Clay golf figure from stash, cannot remember where I purchased him from.
Also over on papertake there weekly challenge is to make a male card, so I used this sketch for that theme.
Secondly, Di HickmanApologies for the rubbish photo, the weather really isn't helping and my little Kodak really didn't want to play today. Products used were K&I surprise streamers pp, heart chipboard is papermania, all other cardstock & ribbon from stash.
Lastly, HS-MS ~ Crockery, A collection of ceramics, porcelain and china.

A collection of some of the weird and wonderful crockery Jack has received over the years!
Think that's me for today, another cuppa calls me I think.
Hope your Tuesdays a dry one! x
