A few to share

Some plain cards I've made today in advance for January birthdays, only a few more to go.
For the biggest Doctor Who fan on the planet - Jacks bestest mate Jake will be 6 on the 2nd
Our little un Riley will be a whole ONE on the 18th

this is for Riley off his biggest and bestest brother in the world Jack

Riley also shares his birthday with Pop Pop (my dad) and he's a big Tina Turner fanPhotos arent much cop today, camera needs charging, which I will do ready for tonight!!! Lets see what piccys we get out of that - lol.

Not much to update!

The boys are still poorly but they are much better than they were, or so we thought until Riley decided to go down hill again this evening - bless him - he really is suffering. The doctor said apart from teething he also has a head cold, which is affecting his ear too.

I got a tad annoyed with myself regarding my journal, I don't actually like mish mash of colours really, not for a whole book anyways, so I've started again! I didn't have that many pages finished, but they are all sketched and I know whats going where, if you know what I mean. Some co-ordinating figgy pud and love elsie - noel papers are on there way to me!!! And that will be the last purchase of scrap paper goodies for awhile now until I have scrapped a fair few photos and used the offcuts towards cards, as I just have too much stuff (quite possibly not as much as other scrapping folk - but I really don't have room to put it - so I must minimise it)
I have completed a few plain pages today which has made me happier and will share some in the new year.

My post arrived from Australia, so cannot wait to see what Jen has in store for us with that lot - will show once I've started, first prompt been the 1st Jan - 2008 -
We are spending New Year with friends - as long as Riley is well enough really - so this is my time to say, out with the old and in with the new
Happy New Year to everyone and I hope all your dreams come true. x

One very poorly boy

Baby Riley had us up the majority of the night, full of a cold but also, amazingly he got his FIRST TOOTH yesterday, so add that to the cold and the little fella isn't a happy chappy to say the least. Bless him...

Jack didn't sleep much either, with Riley crying and having bad dreams himself as he's still too not well, and he's off for a dental appt today!!!! Daddy's had to take him so I can be at home with Riley...

and look!!! Rudolph nibbled on his carrot and Santa didn't leave much!
Oh the mess! lol but the fun tooGizmo enjoyed the boxes as usual
Mummy (that's me - hehe) laid the table, prepared and cooked the dinner, turkey of course
Not forgetting Riley of course
I was amazed at one point to find Optimus Prime in the kitchen!!!
My baby was poorly too, full of a cold - so that put a dampener on the day - bless him
A good day had by all, very stuffed in the evening, loved it. x

My inspirations are as my board states, my two gorgeous boys, I love following challenges and seeing such inspiration on other blog sites, I adore using buttons, lace, ribbons, doodling, naked chipboard, these are my main embellishments at the moment! Something always has a button on it - lol
Thats it for today, apart from the barnet has been cut and NO ONE can now call me Chrissie Hynde lookalikie!!!!!!!! Thank you very much....

Last of the crumpled trees...

The day finally came where I would make my last crumpled tree of the year! and that day was yesterday! :-( until next year that is - ho ho hoI made this twisting tree for a babys first christmas for a friend of ours, just a simple one, but a technique we learnt at the card making class, I like it..

I am mega mega mega behind with my christmas journal, but today I plan to at least get the pages sketched that arent, so when I have a moment, I can just throw myself into them.

Handmade by me for you...

I've took the time this year to be creative and make presents for friends, and some for Jack to give to his teachers! Not everyone I know reads my blog so I know I'm safe showing photos lol

I used Hero Arts Zannia flower stamp, Memories alligator ink pad, co-ordinating ribbon and cardstock. I really enjoyed making these, I've done them in a blue as well.
I used the tutorial over at Artz de scrap on how to decorate a gift bag, pop on over and check it out.I made these small notecards for my friends daughter, shes helped me out sometimes when I've been stuck on the computer and thought she may like them!
I used my All about media piggy stamp for these.

And who cannot mention LEONWe've been pretty much routing for him all the way through, his nerves got the better of him at times, but a huge congratulations for winning, hopefully we will be seeing and hearing from him and he wont just fade away - as many have.

Shopping!

Milton Keynes was good yesterday, only just recovered, I was shattered today! For the amount of time we were there, it didnt show it in shopping bags!!!
The christmas display was awesome though, there was me (obviously) Riley, Cazz and Lexie, going oooh and aaaahhh.
The christmas scene was of Wind in the Willows and was brilliant, very magical. Sadly not all my photos turned out because of the lighting in there, maybe one day I'll get a super duper camera.
This is the nativity scene which was gorgeous

Heres Toadand for some reason I just love this photo of the merry go round, it just feels really magical hehe
I love this shot of Riley too bless him, very orange but who can resist that face
how adorable, a poorly boy who has a cold and quite possibly teething but still always smiling - bless my little baby.
Whilst in Milton Keynes I had a bear made in the bear factory, the new addition to the family is Freddie, who is sleeping snuggly in his dino box ready for Riley to adore on Christmas morningToday I've been busy and have nearly finished all my handmade pressies, only gift bags and final touches to go - so I'm super happy about that.
Me and Jack are having a christmas craft day tomorrow, snowflakes, paper chains, christmas crackers - so excited about that.

Show you pics tomorrow I dare say. x

Christmas Journalling

A few updates of my christmas journalling from Shimelles class, I'm not entirely happy with some of them but I am really new to journalling so some pages are going to be very basic and plain! Until I'm more comforatable with it that is...
Prompt 4 - Your perfect Christmas - a very plain page just journalling about what christmas means to me - paper from my bubbly funk nov kit
Prompt 7 - To do lists - I used the blocks to record what I still have left to do and added a few embellishments and doodling for measure - I wanted to keep the harrods tag, and as today you were asked to add a receipt of some sort - I used that - papers from my scrapping angels nov kitPrompt 10 - Gift Wrapping - another very plain page but I sorta like it - my giftwrap, pp from scrapping angels nov kitPrompt 11 - Christmas Trees - I had this mini book from my scrapping angels kit and I really wanted to use it for something in my journal and hang it off the binder! So I have used this for my Christmas Tree prompt! I havent journalled much but enough to make me happy.

Now I just have to figure out how to upload onto shimelles forum - lol

Super not happy with how the photos turned out! I took loads in different places, but its either mega sunny or dark! so these will have to do - sorry.

Quick wave to Amanda - My phone isnt working!!! Can you text me your email address honey please! xx Hope your okay
Oooh and Cazz, get working on your blog girlfriend - lol x

Another blog!

Today I've started 'another' blog! Its for the Winter Photo Challenge, its been run from 1st December to 29th February 2008, you get to take 50 photos, I didnt want to overrun my main blog with this and I wanted to keep them in one area. So here goes, please visit My Take on 50 which is where you'll find my photos.
I will update here once in awhile when more photos are added.
Thanks for looking x

Christmas and Oooh Mary...

Mary Poppins was awesome, really awesome, every bit of it I enjoyed, the singing was fantastic, the acting and the dancing, the stage storyline, the stunts!!! brilliant infact its SuPeRcAlIfRaGiLiStIcExPiAlIdOcIoUs
I finally put my christmas decorations up last night!!! lol Last year I was even later, because I was heavily pregnant with Riley I was in no mood. Jack was super excited when he woke up to all the decs which was lovely, his job is to put the angel on, and considering shes been in a box for year, she looks rather spiffing - ya -
Heres a few other favourites

I love each year getting new chrimbo decs, I bought this angel/heart garland from the card making evening I went to, just need to find a hanging space for her

I'm doing really well with my Journal too, its not up to date but I've either sketched what I need to do or the pages are just waiting for photos. I'm actually in front with todays prompt though, I made a mini book last night to hang off my journal, and I've decided to use it for today which is all about your christmas tree!!! I'll post once finished.

Thats it for the moment. x

Inspiration and Cheesy Mash!

I found a new blog artz de scrap, their first challenge is to make an inspiration board (if you dont already have one) which I didnt, so I had a small canvas and had a play, I was quite surprised what I am inspired by really, even though I knew it, its different seeing it down on paper - well canvas - lol.
Heres a sneak peek of it
The lighting is terrible here at the moment, its really grey outside so the photo doesnt do the colours justice.

Cheesy Mash, I mean who doesnt like this - I love it, and so does Riley, well Riley loves all food to be honest, but he also loves feeding himself, which as you can imagine, a 10 month old can get into a bit of mess - just like this really!!!

Please sir can I have some more - lol
Love him x

Wednesday 5 December 2007

Well -

I had some fabby pressies yesterday, from smellies to trainers to dvds/cds and an adopted elephant! I really have a passion for ele's.
To really top my birthday off, most of the peeps I know knew an even bigger pressie I was going to get - a surprise one -
Next saturday I'll be staying here

Jurys Kensington 4 star hotel in London - eek
and the reason - because we'll be seeing this

I am so excited, Cazz is having Riley, Jacks away, so we'll be shopping and sight seeing (I've only ever been to London a handful of times so this is going to be brilliant and really special), a meal in the hotel before the show, drinks after and sightseeing again on the Sunday before home.

I cannot thank you enough baby, thank you thank you thank you, and huge thank you's to Cazz and her family for having my little fella for me. He is going to be spoilt rotten by all six kiddies, he wont be short of attention thats for sure.

THANK YOU SO MUCH XXX

Christmas Journalling & Oooh Its my BIRTHDAY...

Firstly - Journalling - Finally some photos.
I'm really enjoying Shimelles class so far - I am a day behind, I still have the 'cards prompt' to do for yesterday and I've only just received todays, which is 'perfect christmas'! Thats one to sit down and think about.

Prompt One - ManifestI sooo love buttons at the moment. Due to this been my first time at journalling, I want to try and keep it clean and simple - to begin with at least - All I've stated that I want to do, is have a memory to look back at with my family about our christmas this year.
I'm enjoying it that much though I can certainly see myself joining in again and again and we're only 4 days into it.
It is only a small journal, although I will be able to do double pages, its only 7.5" x 5.5" approx, I wanted to start off small as I didnt want to scare myself too much - lol. I will be adding transparency pages too though for extra texture!
My main aim - to finish the journal.

Prompt Two - Winter weather - Snowflakes

Again along side the love of buttons, I love handstitching too. This page is busy enough with the paper alone, so I just added a few buttons, doodling and handstitching and I'm happy.
Sadly though we dont get much snow here, and most certainly not on christmas day!!

And to prove I'm a winter baby - Today is MY birthday - a HUGE and MASSIVE 33 years old!!!
I was greeted by Jack 'Happy Birthday Mummy - Can I have my breakfast' lmao
Tels at work so will proper celebrate it tonight, but he did leave me my card this morning and can you believe that I actually walked past it to begin with - lol

Its massive - like my age
My friend Cazz came round this morning and I got some scrummy pressies - esp the tins!! hehe and I like the inside of her card that much I thought I'd share it - lol

Aww bless - thats me by the way - the card supplier - as if you hadnt guessed - lol
Normal day really, school run, bathing riley, bla bla bla - rubbish - till Tel comes home anyway.
