Strange

but true!
How moments on tv or the radio can throw you back quite a few years.
Tonight something on tv made me not be here for a few moments whilst I was dragged back to a particular part in my life that I care not to go back to too often... but I did, and it made me think of women out there who are still going through those 'moments', and my heart went out to them.
Hugs to those x

I've gone slightly

GREEN - not mad - bet you were thinking that though.
Today has been a day to remember! Ranting wise - shall not go into it but hopefully it shall be dealt with now! Heres hoping.

Jack went back to school today and enjoyed it, couldnt wait to tell me that his teacher was having a baby! At that Riley was been '14mth old naughty' and Jack piped up and said
'Mummy can you have a girl next time and can it be a good girl not a naughty boy like Riley!!' lol
I clearly stated to him that was something not to worry about as there would be no more babies thank you very much, he looked rather disappointed! Tough...

I looked after Lexie baby today, picked her up from nursery whilst me mate Cazz has a job - a paid job - lol - sorry personal giggle there. We had lunch, read a story and played and watched Nick Jr. On thurs hopefully the weather will be as gorgeous as it has been today as I am planning a picnic at the country park for us.

Tonight was phat club night and I lost an amazing 2lb, I did 'try' before the weekend then we had an indian saturday night so !! but I'm pleased with that, slowly will remove what i've put on the last few weeks. I won the raffle, quite a thing for me really lol some lovely mugs and mug shot noodles. I shall not be posting a photo purely as Cazz and Steph laughed and said 'Bet that will be on your blog later'!! I mean...
Rather than leave you with nothing i'll leave you with this - my gorgeous little fella lining up his favourite cars...
xx

Yippee -

- my little fella is back home safe and sound after his little trip away with Nanny, Pop Pop and Megan. Lots of kisses and huggles and squeezes and kisses and huggles and squeezes lol Missed him tons.

Before they came home, I tootled off to the allotment for awhile this morning to tend to my - well erm - mud plot! Done some digging, popped in some tatties, done some clearing. Spoke to Mr Rotivator about going over it again bla bla bla
Came home to my little fella - hehehe. Once the family were gone, Riley had a nap and I toddled off to the back garden to do some more clearing and sorting. So all in all a very productive and huggled out day.
Must show you these as I am 'very' excited
CourgetteTomatoand some leeks are on the go too, just waiting for red pepper and parsnip to rise and shine.
Hugs

Somewhere exotic -

- not likely, I've just been busy, at home, in wet and windy Kettering! Still cant believe I haven't blogged since Weds!!! a first for me, me thinks.

We've been sorting out the holiday - I'm tingling at the thought of going to Cornwall again! Silly I know but I just am in love with the place - think we'd need to win the lottery before we could afford to live there though.
Tel's already looking at another holiday for us in August! so watch this space! quite a cracker really hehe

I've been sorting out my craft/utility/dogs room!!! lol I'm fed up of crafting on the dining table. Once decorated I'm hoping for the utility to become my crafting hideaway - yeah right

Here is my amazing magic purchase to save on space!!!
From this - To this - and finally to this - Ta da - MAGICI have done crafting, but its all half done! Lots of decoupage ready for cards as I have two craft fairs a week apart, so I need to get alot of projects finished fast. Thanks to Cazz for letting me have her sewing machine for a bit so I can throw some other bits together I've been meaning to for along time - Will show crafting tomorrow.

Not had chance to go to allotment, really hoping to tomorrow (please hold off rain until I've had an hour up there - please) My seedlings are coming on great, will take some photos of those tomorrow too - all very exciting this good life malarkey - I'm enjoying it.

Thanks for taking the time to read this x

Crazy ~

~ Golf ~ that's where I met up with my lovely jubbly friend Lorna today. Took the kiddies to Wicksteed Park for a few hours and more.. picnic and lots of walking and waiting for rides!
Jack wanted one last play on the 'octopus slides' so off he went - at that I noticed a little lad crying and asked him if he was okay and he wasn't because he'd lost his Mummy.
Called Jack back over and off we went to look for Mummy and 'missing persons' which I'd like to add did not have a sign post for - in the end I had to take him to a kiosk and get a member of staff to help him! Hope he's okay, bless him. My good deed of the day.

Today I've been doing lots of sorting too - our friends are getting married soonish and as a gift I am babysitting (believe me they have six kids!!! hehe) for a night and we've booked them into a hotel for the night (weekend after wedding) As I know her too well and she is rather nosey, I shall NOT be posting on here where their 'gift night away' is - they will have to wait and see!!! Woooooo lol

I've also been sorting our holiday to Cornwall out, Mum said she'd happily come and look after all the animals! So its sorted, in May we go away. I am super duper excited, I am totally in love with Cornwall - super duper excited, oops already said that, what the heck I am super duper tripled over excited hehehe
Look at this beauty - just what we need, some family time together, how peaceful does that place look - gorgeous :)
The day we come back is THE HEN NIGHT!!! da da daaaaaaaaaa

I will leave you with thislook at how big he's got in such a short time (the dog that is! lol)
I have been crafting but its invites and 3/4 done so nothing to show yet

Tuesday 15 April 2008

Jelly!!!

I knew I was going too, but hey you know it still bothers you!!! Tuesday night is weigh in night and yes I gained! doh...
A few highlights of the evening were been told off like school kids for giggling! (in a humorous way) on a couple of occasions - Thanks Cazz and Steph!!
and I tonight I actually won the raffle!!! Karen our consultant always does brilliant raffle baskets which can be all the ingredients for a complete recipe etc but tonight Josephine I won JELLY!! Yes new Hartleys Jelly at only half a sin a pot!!! lmao
Day 105 of my journey saw me looking at Sloth!!Its so bizarre, when I was a single mum and worked part time, the house was spotless!! Now I have a partner, two boys and I'm a SAHM, things pile up on me - like the ironing - which I just find to be such a chore, whereas before I use to love to do it!!!I asked my friend about this and she said its probably because now I do have time to do it all, I say to myself 'I'll do it later'...I really dont actually like been like this at all.......
and to top it off!!! I've had a slight amount of grey hair since I was about 19! Well the other day I awoke to some in my fringe.. How upset was I... lol What a week so far lol x

Monday 14 April 2008

The Long Wait...

Wait in from 11am to 6pm for your new tumble dryer to be delivered Miss Evans! 17.10pm it arrives!!! What a waste of a day I feel, although not much more could have been done thanks to the weather, bar food shopping!
My little fella was poorly last night and the majority of this morning - bless himNo crafting done for what seems like an eternity!!! doing my head in, but the hours are just disappearing at the moment.
Edited to add ** my good friend Trak is possibly looking to have a design team on her blog - why dont you go check it out here ** Shes a lovely gal, doesnt bite - honest -

Maybe have something to show tomorrow - till then x

Sunday 13 April 2008

Again the hail stones got us!!! We must have targets on our back lately... :)
Jack enjoyed his sleepover at Beavers and loved the fact he found a dying frog! He has also returned supporting a very slight black eye!!! just a tiny bruise on his eyelid, he doesnt know how he did it, so it cant have hurt that much! cause Jack remembers anything like that - lol.

I'm still catching up loads on my 365 daysDay 65 - Explore - Riley is always exploring at the moment... bless him and his new kitchen.

I have to wait in tomorrow for a new tumble dryer!! so hopefully I'll get my crafting desk put together and some cards made.

Short and sweet today... Oooh yes... actually our gorgeous Wicket chewed the corner of the fireplace!!! Daddy was not amused...

Saturday 12 April 2008

Hailed on!

Yesterday saw us getting wet at the Country Park! I mean proper soaked through... all good fun though... Today saw me getting hailed on!!! that I would like to add was not fun!

Myself and Cazz saw our little fellas off on their very first Beaver sleepover adventure, they were both very excited although I'm sure Jakes first words to his Mummy will be
'Are you sure you recorded Doctor Who Mummy' Blesssss

Allotment photos to bore you so beware!!!!

Once we'd dropped their kit off, (literally around the corner from me - hehehe) I came home, its a gorgeous sunny afternoon so I toddled off to the allotment, wanted to mark out my first bed and move some more rubbish! The majority of this
came out of this (doesnt look very deep but believe me, it is practically knee deep) can you see how much I still have to dig out!!! Quite frankly I'm sick of the sight of rotting carpet. As I am marking my beds the heavens opened and decided to chuck some hail stones my way... ouch ouch ouch, ran to the metal wall and stood there like a dippy chick until it stopped. Soil was too wet to dig after that!!! So took some photos, marked bed and trundled back to the car!! All in all a crap days work really lol
Nothing a hot shower didnt sort though.

Slowly getting up to date with my 365 days, here is day 93

Thats it from me folks...

Thursday 10 April 2008

Oh what a time..

..holidays are so hard sometimes to please everyone and get things done!! Peeps with kids will know exactly what I mean by that!
I've been digging, digging and digging today, pulling out concrete post and trees!! to make way for a new fence in our back garden.
The weathers been so nice today (apart from a few splashes of rain) I even managed to stain the new rabbit hutch (thanks to Freecycle for that)

Riley had a tad bit of an accident earlier, went flying over and smacked his forehead off the tv unit!! Huge egg on his head now, dare say I'll show photo of that tmz!! Bless his ickle head

Treated myself to this finally

wanted it for an age, finally here now - hehehe

Looking at booking a holiday - to Cornwall of course - hehehe very exciting

Thats it from me I'm afraid. x

Monday 7 April 2008

One more -

- layout for you from the Bad Girls weekend challengeI'm not going to push myself to do anymore, I'm too tired and had a busy day. I've badly enjoyed it though and feel that I have certainly scrapped my Fears away - to do with scrapbooking that is anyway.
Speaking of fears - thats what this LO is suppose to be about - but to be honest my fear of tortoise or turtles etc is so big, I could hold a photo of one to scrap, so i've just wrote about it and got abit of green in there!! No laughing at the fear please! Thank you :)

Big exciting news over on Papercraftjunkies forum today - the E-Mag has gone live - pop on over to the forum and have a download of it, its full of inspiration and interviews, very exciting. Marcus and Tracy have done a fab job.

Big job nearly completed at the allotment today!!! The wheel is removed along with some very large metal sheeting and carpet! Nightmare, still bit more carpet to go, then gotta move all the rubbish thats been dug up - Ooh and we found and rescued a toad! Bless it, well I say bless it, I certainly didnt go near it, left that to him indoors (or outdoors for the moment hehe)

So Sweet & Bad Girls Crop!

- on Friday, I attended Jacks celebration assembly as he was receiving his second SuperStar award, very proud Mummy again. Anyways, the headmistress began to explain to the assembly that she had spoken to a little boy earlier that day about full stops! and she called to Jack who promptly stood up. Jack had seen her earlier as his read, write inc teacher had sent him to her as he had done some beautiful handwriting!

Mrs Walters - What beautiful work Jack, Well Done and you've used full stops
Jack - Yes I have Mrs Walters
Mrs Walters - and do you know what full stops are for Jack
Jack - its so your words don't fall off the page Mrs Walters

How bloody sweet is that - I had tears of proudness in my eyes!!!! lol

This weekend, I've been busy attending the online crop over at Bad Girls
Heres the LOs done so far
Friday Challenge 1- 1 or 2 old papers, 1 or 2 new papers, 3 flowers, 5+ buttonsThis LO has hidden tag journalling explaining that its my dream in the future to go and live in Cornwall. This photo was taken whilst on holiday there in Newquay.

Friday Challenge 2- 33 Facts about meThe challenge was write the amount of facts to match your age!! A tough one lol

Friday Challenge 3- Use four photosI've wanted to scrap Riley and the washing for some time, so this was appropriate. A very feminine page but does the job.

Friday Challenge 4- Take inspiration from the photo given (bright colours)I picked the bright colours from the inspiration photo and scrapped this, due to the gorgeous colours on the photo and the banner patterned paper.

Saturday Challenge 3- Use fabricI layered the photo on fabric and cut out fabric flowers too for my daffodil page.

Oooh I've been a bit busy havent I!!! Hopefully have a few more to show you tomorrow - the online crop finishes at midnight tomorrow, I dont have time to do them all but have really enjoyed the challenges and inspiration the Bad Girls Team have put on for us.

Feeling Better...

feeling much better actually. I found my car!! I had an hours walk to it, so was shattered!
Over on Papercraftjunkies I'm currently hosting a stamped image swop, they've all been dished out now, so just waiting for all the girlies creations.
I'll be hosting another one real soon - so make sure you check it out and join in if you can. The more the merrier.
One of the images I had was off Jayne - a wee ickle owlI cut up some remaining Sassafraslass papers and the owl was very happily placed amongst the pp.
I'm busy doing the online crop over at Bad Girls - done two LOs so far, but have two more prepped, so thats where I'm going, to the kitchen to scrap!!
Oooh found another addictive website - Freecycle - I was gonna go out and buy a folding wheelbarrow for the allotment, lady was advertising one on freecycle as it has a tear on it, picked it up today. Blooming brilliant, got it for nothing and will take a moment to sew up! and I got another rabbit hutch for nothing! as the other one is in much needed repair but can now go to the tip!!
Great or what

I have the most -

- pathetic hangover in the world - why you ask!! All I had was 3 (maybe 4!) glasses of wine!!! and I am suffering more than you can imagine, a 14th month old screaming 'ninner' at me isnt helping either - lol
It was a good evening though and one that was needed. The lovely Stefanie cooked a gorgeous five - yes five - course meal,
a ham salad to start with followed by wild mushroom soup! d e l i c i o u s
lemon spaghetti (the best pasta I have tasted in the whole wide world) with chicken
gorgeous and i mean dribbling gorgeous handmade mango icecream with mango sauce - Oh dear god it was delicious
All washed down with wine and after dinner mints and coffee - yummilicious -
I had a lovely evening, so thank you very much indeed Stefanie.
I am going to go and suffer a tad more and then start the Bad Girls online crop which happens to be on this weekend, which happens to tie in nicely with the fact that Tel is working! hehe
Speaking of Bad Girls, my layout in a box got picked for layout of the week and I was squealing with delight when I saw it, so thank you thank you thank you...
Only two more days before the papercraftjunkies e-mag goes live!!!!

Although I do have to remember where I parked my car!!!!

Today

Today was the funeral of my Aunty Judy. It went okay considering, but it hit me more than I to be honest thought it would. I already knew and had this feeling, but when I saw her sons/my cousins break down, I realised again that they have lost their Mum, and a good one she was too - she idolised them.
They wrote a beautiful poem for their Mum which was read today, it was so true and honest it was lovely. I'm so proud of them for that.
I really hugged my boys tonight. I'm their Mummy and so proud of them and I just love and cherish moments like that.

Thank you to my lovely friend for having Riley for me so I could be away for the day, thank you honey - loves ya. x

Thats all I can muster up for today. x

Wednesday 2 April 2008

Ooh la la

Am I a scrap addicts sketch went live yesterday - Heres my Design Team take on it - I really am a lover of white cardstock!! Umm must control that lol
Why dont you pop on over and take a peek at what the rest of the design team came up with.
Hope you had a 'fool-less' fools day!
We had Jacks 'quick' school report with Jacks teacher, all is well, he's improved tons since joining Cherry Class (with the rest of the year ones!! Long story...) everyone can see an improvement in him, which is great. Very pleased Mummy and Daddy here.

Crafting Paradise

- well nearly!
Done lots of finishing off projects last night and this morning.
Lots to show -
Day 18 LO for my 365 days
I've used my Feb Bad Girls Kit, which is just gorgeous. The hidden tag has all the journalling.

My Valentines LO for the 365 journal
I'm not really feeling this LO to be honest, I used the Love Elsie pp's and to be honest I just didnt know what to do with them!. But its done now, not my favourite but hey!

Layout in a box!
I adored doing this - it just came to me, it started off as a 12x12 LO then ended up in a box! I used the March bad girls kit, which again is super gorgeous. Daisy D's pp's and I recycled the prima flower box.
This photo is the only one I have of my 'real' dad and me! As soon as I found it, I knew I had to preserve it. I love what I've done with it, I really truly do - hehe.
I do have more to show but I dont want to overload you! lol
Wicket has just had his mad hour! running around the house like a blooming idiot! lol
Back laters x
