Sob Sob Sob

'I just don't know what to do with myself' la la la...
I finished my series of Twilight books :( and I am lost and cannot fathom what to do with my spare minutes, I doubt another book will fill its shoes at the moment :(
Although after a little chat with Rosie last night, shes no longer my friend as in her words 'Thanks alot mate, I cant put the bloody book down either' I wont go on to say where she's read it! but you can get the idea - cant you!!! :)

So here's a countdown to December 19th when we can go watch it! lol
Other than that, I've had a busy week with shopping shopping and more shopping, digging, digging and more digging.

We have a Halloween party tonight with friends, and I have a hen party tomorrow night with friends :) Ooooh must remember not to drink as much as last time!

The boys are home on Sunday :) and I think Mum has had her fill of Riley! lol no-one believes me when I say how bad he can be, but I think she knows now :)

Right off to sit here and wait for my new washing machine to turn up!!! Between 7am and 11am, and you know dont you that its gonna turn up at 10.50am!!!

Just for FUN

You are The Empress

Beauty, happiness, pleasure, success, luxury, dissipation.

The Empress is associated with Venus, the feminine planet, so it represents,
beauty, charm, pleasure, luxury, and delight. You may be good at home
decorating, art or anything to do with making things beautiful.

The Empress is a creator, be it creation of life, of romance, of art or business. While the Magician is the primal spark, the idea made real, and the High Priestess is the one who gives the idea a form, the Empress is the womb where it gestates and grows till it is ready to be born. This is why her symbol is Venus, goddess of beautiful things as well as love. Even so, the Empress is more Demeter, goddess of abundance, then sensual Venus. She is the giver of Earthly gifts, yet at the same time, she can, in anger withhold, as Demeter did when her daughter, Persephone, was kidnapped. In fury and grief, she kept the Earth barren till her child was returned to her.

Thursday 23 October 2008

There is a website called 4000 Saturdays and daily they send you a quote so you can think about life now and not dwell on the happenings that you cannot control within the world.
I really liked today's quote so much so that I thought I would blog it
Gratitude. The minute we become grateful for what we already have in life, we shift our focus from a constant desire for more to a realisation that we can have a much higher quality of life with less. There is no greater love we can give to our children and their future.
Today, write down five things you are grateful for and see how different it makes you feel.
  • My children - who have made me the person I am today
  • My partner - for loving me whatever mood I'm in :)
  • Choice - for the choices I've made so far
  • My health - after suffering with depression I am thankful with myself that I can now control that
  • Simplicity - I love our family day to day existence, it may be boring or simple to others, I am so grateful for our family life, including the ups and the downs :) That's what makes us who we are

Back later with crafty goodness :)

Suffering :(

I am so suffering right now, the flu was bad enough but now I have a very sore ulcerated mouth (suffer quite a bit with this if I'm run down ((no cazz before you say it, its not due to rude reasons!!!! I am truly ill)) )
So the household is quiet! Well quiet of my mouth anyway, I've been busying myself with Autumn cleaning, blitzing and de-cluttering - still..

Its our 5th week for Rosie Dee's Challenge, so pop on over here and check it out, and maybe even join in.Have you got your circle, square, pink and glitter ready for your card!

I mentioned the other day about recycling last years christmas cards to make them for this year, I really enjoyed making these and have now sadly ran out :( so need to find more so I can finish my list off
Just simple white cardstock with scraps of patterned paper and the recycled card cutout :)
Off to do more decluttering x

Thursday 9 October 2008

Urgh...

The last few evenings I've gone Chrimbo mad and made well over 20 cards and all from recycling last years ones! Very happy will take some photos once I'm better :(
Which brings me onto my title, I feel cackapoopoo, full of a cold possibly developing into a flu :(
So much to do that I cant sit down and feel sorry for myself, hopefully it will pass on by in a blur.
Bye for now - aitchooooo

gobsmacked

seriously I am..
After the events of the weekend (Saturday mostly) it was great today to be called in to see Jacks teacher after school, she wanted to tell me how pleased she is with Jacks progress in Drama and especially in Maths, today he got the 'just to let you know' sticker and it said he has a huge maths brain :)We're all very proud of him :)

Busy week really with lots of crafting projects to start and finish.
Halloween is nearly upon us and I'm deciding what to do, I may just have a tea party for the boys, trick or treating and a bit of house decoration for them :)
Right off to do more general house duties before the goodness of crafting begins, little one is napping in the land of nod :)

Week 4

Week 4 of our challenge blog is up and running.
Can you alter a chocolate box without eating them first? Rosie couldn't.. :)
Here's my sneak peek, pop on over to see what we came up with.Well today is Monday, the weather was awful yesterday! proper downpour.
Hopefully this week will be different, lots to do today!

What a day!

Today - What a day!
Today was the trip to Gullivers with the beavers for the Jamboree weekend.
Today was a long day for me and a bloody difficult one too, thanks to my gorgeous little fella, I think if I try to type it all I will just bring it all back and not be happy.
Today I realised more than ever my little fella needs more confidence and the desire to try new things, and I have to figure out how to help him accomplish these things.

A few photos to share from our day...

Jack on his horse!Cazz and family getting very wet - againYou should have seen her getting in it!!!!! :)The boysand the slide gang :)Lexie was a star, she wanted to go on everything and thanks to her I got a very wet bum on the log flume :)
It was freezing cold today, as I'm typing this the wind and rain sound hectic outside.. Me and Cazz hugged our latte's with such passion lol only just warming through now.

Thanks for popping by x

Thank you

A huge thank you to Steph over at Indigo Mill, I received a gorgeous kit in the post for me to work with on some Easy Crafts Projects, so cant wait to get started with those, papers are very lush :) and the ribbon is even lusher! (I think I just made a word up)

Poor poor Rosie couldnt make it over today as she's not feeling to well, bless her, catch up again soon honey.

More new 'stuff' in my Etsy store, gorgeous (well I think they are) vintage paper blooms made from some very battered Enid Blyton booksA treat for Jack tomorrow, a few hours of bowling with a friend, much deserved for doing so well at school. Very proud Momma again :)
So busy the last few days, outings with Riley and friends in the evening.
I have been crafting some more new items for my Etsy store, so I dare say I'll be updating that daily at the moment.Vintage paper flowers on the way :)

Rosie should be here tonight so I dare say tons of chat and no crafting to be done lol umm I wonder what we'll be creating :)
Music makers after Rileys nap, so ttfn x
