The Hedge!

Our neighbouring hedge got rather large! so it was arranged that a friend of ours would cut it down and put it back to shape - wow - what a big job, he did our hedge then popped over next door and did the other side and their other hedge!

At one point he needed Tel's help to get a few of the 'larger' tops sawed off, so Tel 'climbed' in the hedge sat on it and saw'ed away! If you dont believe me here's the photos lolThis was further along the hedge, he crawled across the top!!
Another tip run tomorrow and then its all done :)

SCD wk 2

I'm a little late for this but I forgot to photo it! eek sorry :)
Over at something completely different the challenge for week 2 was pink and green
I used some scrap bling bling lime green glitter cardstock from stash and pretty butterfly print out of Kirsty Wisemans which I watercoloured one pink and one green.

Again a very plain twinchie but I'm going to use it as an embellishment for a card :)

New Moon rising

Umm I've being a tad blog less the last few days other than showing other peeps blog offers when I've had a chance.
  • I'm so busy and I dont even know why! lol

  • I got a tad sunburnt up the allotment yesterday morning! It was so early I really didnt think I'd need suncream but I've leart my lesson as I now look like a beetroot :(

  • I've had a cyst lump removed from head on Wednesday :) finally I have a lump free fringe line, have to go back next Wednesday to have my stitches removed! It was all very strange and odd feeling but interesting at the same time!

  • Making new things for my different stores

  • We are really working on the garden at the moment and hopefully I'll be painting the summerhouse this weekend :) We have a huge hedge (with thanks to our new neighbours for not cutting it down!!!) so we are going to try to take our side off as much as we can and leave the top to them!! today too, so that means a fry up for the boys ;)

  • Car booting tomorrow to get rid of loads of stuff, all money going towards the garden :) and hopefully there will be the big plant stall too so I can snatch a few goodies whilst I'm there :)

Just because I cant not leave a picture again, if your a twilight nut I'm certain you'll appreciate this, which I got from here

Now I have to say where I originally found this download was over on Living Locurto's blog and its fantastic, there is so many free downloads that are awesome to use in all types of crafting, her blog is definate must to go visit, but be warned, you will be hooked :)

This particular download is by jenn ~ Ambrosia Girl ~
Now you have to have read Twilight to understand the line ~ swoon ~ :)
I used the free download from Jenn, twitterpated papers and ribbon from stash

Babe!

This is the coversation I had with my 7 year old last night
J - Mummy why do you call Daddy 'Babe'?
M - It's just a nice nickname I have for Daddy
J - So when will you get married?
M - I don't know honey, why do you want Mummy and Daddy to get married?
J - When you grow up yeah !!!
M - lmao - What! Why!
J - Well you can't call Daddy 'Babe' forever, so when you grow up you can get married
M - lmao (for a very long time)
Kids eh :) real treasures
A sorting mission this weekend :) so I may be gone for some time lol

Just thought I'd share some snippets of the really fresh and simple wedding stationery that I did for Lisa and Robert who are getting married today :)
This was my gift to them, they had the complete wedding stationery package, so this just fitted in nicely :)

I wish them all the happiness in the world :)

da da dada

I'm really busy finishing off last minute tweeks to a huge wedding order that is being collected tomorrow morning. I'm really pleased with how everything has turned out, I'll show photos soon.
Well its another bank holiday looming nearer and we cant wait, Tel cant wait for the extra break from night shift and I believe we have huge house and garden plans! Well hopefully anyways.

If your stuck for something crafty to do, remember to pop by the new Forum I've set up, crafty bits are getting underway now, first scrapbooking and altered art challenges are up and running, and our first card challenge is due on Sunday. All for fun of course but we'd love to see lots more new peeps over there, we're a pretty great and friendly bunch

Just because it doesnt feel right without a photo, I made this layout whilst at Elaines too, but I dont feel its finished but just dont know what to add, I know I like white space but I'm thinking doodling maybe and journalling, no idea where though i'm stuck :(
Toddle pops for now x

RD Challenge

Sundays challenge was still on the stamping theme and this week we ask you to layer your image

Now I know and understand that not everyone uses stamps or even likes using them, so I used a Pink Petticoat image which are fantastic to use, you buy the downloads, print them off and hey presto and gorgeous card with no messy ink :)
The dotty papers are also available to purchase from pink petticoat, patti pretties and ribbon from stash

Imaginisce

Again whilst at Elaines I managed to finish 3 layouts, two of which I used my gorgeous new papers from Imaginisce the gorgeous twitterpated line :)
I was very selfish and made both the layouts about little ole me, which is rare and considering the papers were very girlie I dont think the boys would have appreciated seeing their photos on it
Really had a great time at Elaines and after the chit chat on skype with Steph and her mum I'm considering purchasing a video cam now lol but shh we'll keep what happened on that conversation to ourselves lol

ten days

Can you believe they are ten days old now :)
Eyes not open yet but hopping around like mad :)

Just Magnolia - Week 4

This week you have to use stitches

So I've stitched a lovely little heart above our little tiddly peeps :)

Although I have to say I now know why the papermania rub ons are in my scraps box, they are awful, they just dont rub on :( you have to go over them with a pen, thankfully my sharpie did the job

*rub ons were already mine, I'm not dissing Steph for giving me junk - lol*

Everything is from my stash and scraps box. Finally starting to plough through my fantastic new scraps box (with thanks to Steph for chucking it all in my direction) :)

Last night I had a burst of card making mojo and came up with a few different cards.

Pop on over and take a goosey gander :) x

imaginisce

Wow is all I can say, whilst at Hobby Craft on Friday I found these most delicious papers, and they are super duper delicious for many reasons,
Firstly, how adorable are those ickle animals :)
Second, the toadstool paper is embossed and that beautiful red spottly paper, is a gorgeous high gloss red :)
You just have to see them in the flesh to believe how gorgeous they are :)
I'm off to Elaines this weekend for a little Indigo Mill meet up again, and these papers are most certainly being packed in my bag for me to have a play with :)

Monday 11 May 2009

Cosmic Cricket

I dont seem to be scrapping as much at the moment, so many other things going on. So I loved it when my buddy came round Saturday night, ordered a chinese and we got scrapping :)
I used some gorgeous Cosmic Cricket boy papers
I finished a coaster mini book which I'll be selling in one of my stores too :) Will show photo shortly
I have to admit I love it :)
I've had one of those days today, its being so windy here that my little growhouse which had all my seedlings (which were all ready to be planted out) blew up the garden, I ran round shouting 'no' followed closely by Riley shouting 'oh no' and then running off with the now empty plant pots :(
I managed to save about half of it, moved the growhouse and then as if it couldnt get anyworse, the compost bin (empty) decided to then take off, hit my lovely large terracotta pot FULL of strawberry plants and smashed it to bits :( uh defo one of those days :(
Can only be better tomorrow right! RIGHT lol x

Sunday 10 May 2009

RD Challenge

My turn to set the challenge this week and I've chosen the gorgeous magnolia stamps
With these stamps I think you either love them or hate them! Thats where Rosie and I differ lol
Now in all honesty personally I think they are way too expensive especially considering how many they must sell world wide!! and I think if I actually purchased the stamps I would probably own about one or two! lol
So I managed to get a whopping 100 different images off Ebay for £10 which is a bargain, and what do we love when crafting, thats it a BARGAIN ;)
There all stamped in versamark ink so can be water coloured which is great, so now my stamping crafting isnt just limited to a few
And this card has fallen in nicely with the face my gorgeous niece Megan is getting confirmed in church
