woyww

Hello all you woyww-ers :)
I'm late posting today, well later than usual but I've had a busy day, nothing major just busy with friends, post office runs and seeing Jack in his Victorian Tea Party at school.
Right onto today - erm *hangs head in shame* its 'proper' untidy!
Since the weekend i've done nothing but repackage and re-photo goodies, and work on new designs. I'm practically designing and making something new everyday, I'm loving it
So before anyone asks i'll try to answer the obvious questions :)
The pink room still exists at the moment we havent had a moving date but we believe it may well be May time!
The cat biscuits on the left, are not my new style of treat - honest they are the boys (as in the male cat variety not my human boys! lol)
That huge ball of string cost me £3 at the local car boot last year, and i've already used half of it :) I use it for everything including my new packaging
The costa cups are used (i do love a 'medium soya latte to go) but used to check the sizes of my cosies once made
and the white frame with black inner on the right side is a wall art i've just finished making! Dont quite know what to do with it at the moment, it may well end up in my Etsy Store :)
and as for this little lot, I love love love love love the vibrant colours of the wool felt I use, and they all look so yummy yummy together, although if anyone knows a cheaper place to buy 100% wool felt I'd be very interested to hear where that is *huge beaming smile* please
Ooooh theres some brooches that need to be photographed ready to go on sale too :)

Busy busy busy finding things to do for the Easter Holidays especially if the weather is suppose to be as bad as it the weather man says!
I have lots of Easter craft goodies that I bought from Tesco last year, all half price hehehe so thats something for the weekend

Please remember to pop on over to Julias blog, she is the goddess of woyww and if it wasnt for her and her fabby idea I would never have seen so many fantastic craft spaces :)

Flower Challenge

Theres still another week to join in with the Quirky Crafts Flower Challenge, we've so far had an amazing response and there are currently 82 that have taken part - wowsers :)

Here's my layout, which I made of some friends who I have known for a very long time :) I was best mate with their son and we grew up together and thankfully I've never lost contact with them :)

They've always had such a beautiful garden and I just couldnt resist making this layout of them

Materials used - crate papers, flowers from my mixed stash, basic grey brads, white journalling pen

Quite a simple layout but I really enjoyed creating it

Ribbon Flower Tutorial

On this post here I made this card with a ribbon flower
I enjoyed making it so much I've made some and tutorial for you

For the flower above I used some sheer ribbon that I had in my stash but for the tutorial I'm going to be using some wide wire edge ribbon

Ribbon Flower Tutorial
Materials needed

strips of ribbon - any length depending on how big you want your flower
needle and thread
button (or you can use a brad)
and scissors

Firstly fold your ribbon strips in half

Then tuck the bottom edges in on themselves

Turn over so the tucked edges are at the back and sew your button onto your ribbon

It should look something like this

Keeping adding your folded ribbons to the back of the button and stitch each one in place
Your finished flower should look something like this, because this is wired ribbon you can shape how you want to as well

Another example with some grosgrain ribbon using a brad and to add some extra bling I popped a diamante on the top of the brad

Another easy peasy flower tutorial
Again a pdf download is available for you here - free of course :)

If you manage to make one, make sure you leave a link so I can come and peek
Thanks for popping by

Meeting Friends

I love it when you build a relationship with people online and become best buddies, see each other through the ups and downs, highs and lows.
Well my lovely friend Linda is one of those, I've known her for over four years now and we've only ever met twice, Saturday just gone being the second time.
I drove to Norwich and spent the day there with her and her daughters and grand daughters :) and pups!
I say pups because its thanks to Linda that we purchased our shih tzu, you see her Ruby and our Wicket are from the same breeder

Ruby is soooooooo much more tiny than Wicket, but I had lots of cuddles
Her daughter Leanne popped by and I had lots of cuddles from baby Connie
and lots of giggles from this little madam! she is certainly on par with Riley I can tell you
The drive home was a bit of a nightmare, took an extra hour due to roadworks and then the diversion signs disappearing, thank goodness for sat nav is all I can say! When I saw a sign for Kettering I actually screamed out loud lol

I had a fab day girls thank you :) x

Loo Rolls with a purpose!

Its Birthday Blog Bash time :)
Happy Birthday to Rebekah, thank you for letting be part of your blog hop :)

I got some new (and my very first) set of aqua promarkers this week and they were just lying around my desk whilst trying to figure out how to work them! lol
Strangely I had some empty loo rolls on my desk which were destined for another project but this one came to mind straight away
Loo Rolls with a purpose!
(couldnt think of a better title)

Materials Required

3 x loo/kitchen rolls
cardstock
patterned paper
embellishments
adhesives (I used double sided sticky tape, high tack tape and hot glue gun)

What to do

1) Flatten loo/kitchen rolls
2) Adhere double sided sticky tape to the rolls

3) Wrap your patterned paper around the rolls (I used some 6x6 papers I had) trim off excess edges if needed. Dont worry if the papers dont meet (like mine didnt) because they will be going on the inside so wont be seen

4) I used high tack tape for the strength down the edges (of the non meeting paper side lol) and stuck all the rolls together

5) I used my hot glue gun to add drops of glue to the bottom middle of the rolls so it adhered to the cardstock
6) Embellish as required and volia

This project worked out well because the blending pen you get with the set sits in the middle of the rolls and four promarkers fit in each roll (no need to decorate the inside as these wont be seen when full)

Another quick and easy project thats a pretty desk caddy and recycling products too :)

Edited to add * To make this even easier this is now available in pdf download

HERE

Hope you've enjoyed my blog hop tutorial, the next hop takes place at Toni's at the Totally Crazy Scrapper Blog :) Make sure you pop on over

Would you like to win a giveaway from me :)
Add your name to the comments with a link to here and Rebekahs blog hop before Monday at 8pm and I'll pick a winner for this lovely little lot
*photo coming shortly*
