woyww & progression!

I've not really felt that I can join in woyww since moving house as I havent really had a craft space to work in and when I have dabbled it has to be tidied up pretty quick as its our dinner table :(
**a promise to myself that my new studio will be finished in time for christmas**

But alas last night wasnt a crafty session as such more of a meeting with Michelle to sort out the rest of the Warkton Village Craft Market monthly events right up until christmas and to contact new possible stall holders to join us.

After our tummys were full with food we cracked open a bottle of blossom hill (even though after saturday night I swore I wasnt going to drink ever again - so that didnt last long) and discussed the night away.

This is how my table looked this morning
The pink files are stall holders put into monthly groups, a sneeky bag of maltesers may be lerking there too ;)
We now feel even more positive about our craft market and have some fun ideas for our christmas one in December
Do you join in with woyww - if so hi and sorry I've being missing in action, i'm going to try and get round a few of the others that join in, although there are a ton and a half now lol Pop on over to Julias blog to find out what all the fuss is about

Dust

Icing dust that is!
Riley and I made fairy cakes after nursery today and the kitchen was a cloud of dust whilst making the icing and the coconut went - well - everywhere!

The end result was pretty good though :)

These cuffs are gorgeous

On a crafting note i'm going on a crafting retreat in November and I sooooo cannot wait, at the weekend we got sent a little book which we have being asked to fill with inspiration! eek - hence a crafting night booked on Saturday is going to see to that :)

Mixed Weekend

I had a pretty mixed up weekend really, the long and short of being like this
Its Rileys first full morning at his new nursery today, he was very excited to be using his Deigo rescue pack as his lunch bag :) I'm sure he'll be fine. Its just so much bigger than the nursery he's use to going to, but i'm sure he's going to settle down and love it :)

Time Flies

Where is time going at the moment, the days are all just rolling into each other and whizzing past in a blur!
I am busy behind the scenes,
my gorgeous little man started year 4! *Riley was trying to be taller I think!*
but not with the full uniform due to it not arriving!
...
We had my crop yesterday where a lovely lady called Anne came and did a stampin up demo for us, it was fab all the girls loved it and we are all super excited about our new goodies arriving.
Still cant quite believe how much as a group we spent and we certainly got some fab free goodies from it, will share very soon
...
My crop is going from strength to strength and I love it, it was actually a year old yesterday and I'm so pleased with how far its come and the fantastic girls that come along and support it each month, I have a lot planned for 2011 and I'm very excited about all of it!
...
I'm also pretty much up to date with Shimelles 'learn something new everyday' class in september I just havent had the time to photograph and share, so again watch this space...
I'm busy putting the last touches to my handmade heart swap so I can email all the girls and get that started :)
all photo sources are from google images
Happy Sunday x

not a fan

of big dirty hairy mahoosive spiders!!!! are you...this one already escaped me yesterday and now he's back in a different room!!! :(

book reviews!

Over the summer holidays, Jack and I went along to our local library and sorted ourselves out with enough books to keep us happy for six weeks.
These two books were something else for me

The Fall Girl by Denise Sewell
'The day Frances Fall steals a baby from outside a shop is the day her past catches up with her'
I seriously couldnt put this book down, a really gripping read

The memory keepers daughter by Kim Edwards
'Families have secrets they hide even from themselves...'
A really moving story about the birth of twins and how one decision affected their lives forever
If your into reading then these are a must - and if you have any ideas for my next reads then please share :)

Fab Weekend

I have to say I've had a fab family and friends weekend, the last of the school holidays as Jack is back to school in the morning.

On Saturday we popped along to Emberton Country Park near Olney (which is a beautiful village location with tons of gorgeous shops)
We wanted the boys to have a good ole bike ride and Emberton is the perfect place as its a gorgeous country park but surrounded by one very big path

Jacks only just got his confidence properly on his bike and we were so proud of his achievement this weekendWicket didnt like being too far from me! bless himDaddy and Riley stopped for a pose on these fab cutout sheep - I cannot wait to scrap this picture, Rileys face is a picture! lolEven though it was quite busy, it was so peaceful too :)our picnic was pretty lush toothen it was home to a friends spur of the moment bbq - fun all round

a relaxing day for me today as I was out with said bbq friend at a craft event looking for possible stall holders for the monthly craft market I co run, then popping to shops here there and everywhere having a girlie day :) bliss

back to alarms being set - not that there needed in this house thanks to Riley, better get to bed or knowing my luck i'll sleep in - thanks for popping by
