Whilst updating my not on the high street store with quirky boots goodies, I had a peek round to see what valentine gifts are on offer, and ooooh I fell in love with these beauties

Gift Sets

Thanks to the local handmade craft market that I run with my friend Michelle, we've had some amazing crafters there. One of them is Jaq from - a string of beads - who makes the most amazing soaps

After discussing a gift idea I had she happily made me some pretty cupcake soaps with a 'fresh linen' scent which I have paired up with crochet cotton body puffs

My crafting space late last night was the dining room table - you should have seen it after this photo was taken!!! my mojo kicked in and it was covered in felt shapes

Lots of new ideas on the table, I've designed a better way for my cupcakes to be assembled and I love them even more now, I've got 3 tooth pillow designs which can be personalised, banners and well the list is endless :)

I'll be so pleased once my studio gets up and running :)

More bedroom decor

As you saw yesterday I've started on the accessories for our bedroom

Last year I saw some gorgeous dressing table mannequins so I had to buy them, but sadly they've sat in a box waiting for something to be done with them, until last week that is

I found some gorgeous vibrant decopatch paper and totally transformed them from a boring cream to a colour co-ordinating accessory for our room

I've had this lamp for a few years, its brand new I just havent got round to using it yet!

I'm planning to totally transform our bedroom, its more than likely a spring/summer project as a lot of paint on wood will be involved!

I'm super excited though as I've already chosen the colour scheme so I'm in the process of creating some accessories to adorn our new room - hence a very boring lamp is now updated with a splash of colour and a little bit of pom pom :)

Welcome

I just wanted to say

I have quite a few new followers, I hope you enjoy my blog as much as I love updating it :)

4, Four, yes 4!!! and a rant...

Our little man turned 4 yesterday *sigh*

He's a pain to be honest, hard work, fiesty, but also adorable, loving and cute and we wouldnt have him any other way

but now i'm going to have a little rant - family! what is that all about. I personally thought especially when you are a child your family throws open their arms and welcome them in with so much love - boy am I wrong
Apart from our immediate family as in both our parents no one else bothered with the boys birthdays, now dont get me wrong i'm not expecting anything, but they are family and if they couldnt even supply a card! then something has to be wrong!!
Children dont deserve to be treated like that by so called family especially when they live so close, so as you can imagine I am upset, deeply upset, not for me, but for my boys.

Well they missed on their gorgeous smiles when opening 'cards' and been grateful for those that had bothered.
Personally I've had enough and as the saying goes 'you can choose your friends but not your family' well I've just chosen my family and who is dear to me and the rest - goodbye.

This may seem like a horrid rant i'm having (its very rare that I would do this on my blog) but I am just so upset by all of this - I personally am having issues with my own father right now and I just dont need 'people' to make me feel this way!

Rant over - hopefully - but I still dont feel calm :(

My online store arrived today, lots of hard work ahead but hopefully open to you by the beginning of March :)

I woke up this morning with another shocking cold! so my nose is playing me havoc. I trundled off to the chemist and bought some tonic, it better work, I want to be busy but I just cant because i'm ill all the time :(
I'll let you know if it works or not!

Today is my gorgeous little mans birthday, when I pick him up from nursery we're going to bake his birthday cake

Yesterday we had another christmas present opening session, my parents couldnt make it down over christmas and new year as they were pretty much snowed in where they live.

I made a big pot of spag bol for lunch which went down a treat

Heres the kiddies shredding their wrapping paper to get to their gifts, my neice Megan lives with my parents and I cant believe how much she's grown since I last saw her! She's in big school now!

My mobile phone comes in so handy for taking quick photos, I really need to invest in a camera for my handbag, my fuji s7000 is just to big to cart around all the time, but its perfect for my online shop photos!
Any small camera recommendations would be great - thank you x

We're having a family day today, off to the country park for a bike ride (well the kids anyway) and lots of fresh air, and maybe a mini picnic - enjoy your sunday x

My little man was 9 yesterday, 9!!!!

It goes by too quickly

He had a couple of friends over and they made pizza and played on the xbox of course!

He's such a good boy and i'm so proud of him :)

Chocolate Cinnamon Puffs

I made another batch of these yummy puffs up, there great for a snack for the kids and they are so quick to make

I used inspiration from here and here

Get together your ready rolled puff pastry, cinnamon and chocolate
Smoother your melted chocolate over your pastry

Sprinkle with ground cinnamon

Roll back up and cut into bite size

Bake in the oven (to puff pastry instructions) about 20 mins

and then eat and enjoy :)

Be warned they dont last long as they are most yummy when warm but a great little snack for a lunch box too
