Lavender Fields

Today myself and a friend took our kiddies off for a drive to Hitchin Lavender, it was well worth the drive of an hour as it was just so peaceful there and not over commercialised which was just lovely.
We paid £4 each and were given a carrier bag and scissors and we got to pick some fresh lavender ourselves! which I totally wasnt expecting.
I'll let the photos do the talking :) If you do fancy a day out though do pop along there, take a picnic and pick up some freshly cut lavender, you'll love it

Goodbye

Friday was my friends goodbye day, it was a beautiful service and a wonderful pretty get together afterwards
I have lots of personal memories that one day very soon I'll journal into a friendship mini book once I'm ready to pour my heart out
She is missed so much x

A Late One!

I pulled quite a late one last night as I finally got around to doing some sewing and some ideas I had, whilst my mojo was here I took it and used it and I've woken up this morning pretty pleased with all the orders I've finished and the new goodies I've put together

Village craft market - July

Sunshine

The last couple of weeks have felt quite cold and grey with everything I've been doing, so after speaking to my neighbour who is a florist about some flowers I would like for my friends goodbye day, she decided to give me a gift to which I cried.
She felt that I was going through a lot so deserved to be treated a little
Arent these just a ray of sunshine, and I have to say I smile each time I look at them - so thank you neighbour, they've made my day x

This is a very personal blog post but one I feel I needed to journal

I've had an intense week with hospital visits and supporting one of my bestest friends husband and two small children
Sadly she couldnt fight and hold on any longer and passed away on Friday
Its more difficult to understand because she wasnt ill beforehand
I was with her husband and held her hand and played take that through my mp3 player, I promised her I wont let her down and that her family is now even more my family
The next few weeks are going to be even more intense
I hope I never let her down

The only positive thing to come from all this is the closeness of important family and friends
I'm trying to carry on as normal for my familys sake but I am totally heartbroken, I lost a friend, her husband and children lost so much more

rip my beautiful friend, you had so much more to give, I hope and pray you know that I was there for you throughout and you heard the funny stories I was telling everyone about you. I love you, night night xxxx

The other day when it was early evening I was doing my last checks out in the garden, watering plants, feeding the fish, cuddling the cats, falling over the dog, I looked up and saw this wonderful night sky and ran in home to grab my camera.Its not a perfect shot but it made me smile

Bringing the outdoors in

Gullivers Land

Today we went to Gullivers in Milton Keynes with nursery

Riley was fab and went on every ride, some with a little persuasion but all of them none the less, we got totally soaked on the log flume, screamed on the train ride and giggled on many many more, and the highlight was probably the bus ride there and back
You'd think this was on the way home wouldnt you!
well you'd be wrong it was on the way there! Kids eh...

A most marvellous place to shop

That is quite literally the name of the store and how you feel once you enter
This fabulous amazing fun store is based in Northampton and is an aladdins cave of treasure, I'll let the photos tell the storyI took this photo because I had one of these dolls houses when I was a little girl and it brought back so many fun memories, the fronts are metal and they slide out from the side, mine was painted in yellow and green by my grandad :)

Vintage Vacations

I'm super excited, after first seeing the Vintage Vacations website I was hooked and determined to book a holiday with them.
We've never been to the Isle of Wight so the boys will love going on a ferry, that will be an adventure in itself!
Then upon our arrival we'll be staying in this fully kitted out 'vintage style' american airstreamI am so excited already and we're not going until October! I'll be bursting at the seams by the time we get there
