Boooooo

Its currently half term so busy keeping the boys occupied, although they are coming to the shop with me twice this week! I've packed everything you can imagine to keep them occupied, or at least I hope I have!

This weekend saw our halloween party, I tried to create my own outfit so I was practically spitting feathers making a few of my items!
I do like halloween as I love the excuse to paint my face :)
I have lots of things happening here at the moment with Riley having hospital checks, the house finally feeling like its nearly finished (well downstairs at least) and me changing quite a few things to do with my little business (more on that in the New Year though) and lots of tutorials as well so do pop back x

Mixed Bags!

Our group of mixed bags girls is the lovely craft group I run each month, I've had to change it to a Sunday recently for personal reasons so some arent able to attend as are prebooked elsewhere
There was a few of us doing our different crafts
I was going to journal and have a go on the sewing machine but my lovely friend took ill whos trying to teach me so I changed tactics and took some magazines and books to read and share around, some felt to cut and play with whilst I was sketching out new designs

Michelle was
Monika was

Heather was making a creative mess stamping and making cards
Sue was knitting whilst her gorgeous 5 year old granddaughter kept herself busy with some sewing

We had gorgeous soup and chunky bread and nibbles of cake for after, none of them homemade as planned, so really must get that sorted for next time

Market Day

Saturday was our market day at Warkton
Michelle and I love running it so much, it can be hard and tiring work but all worthwhile with the lovely crafters and customers we meet each month
I had a stall too to share my quirkyboots goodies and I had a big sale basket of items I will no longer be creating
A peek at the stalls we had this month
Chocojojo
Little Stamp Store
The Cookie Box
Brampton Valley Alpacas

Messy or Tidy

I seem to be a very messy creative person, my studio never seems to be just pretty and everything in its place! The space on my desk to create gets smaller and smaller as I dont put things away!
So once in a while I have a complete tidy up, love it and then within a few days its a 'creative mess' again!
At the moment my space looks like this!

As for the floor! well what floor!
Are you a messy or tidy crafter...

bit of a hiccup

Just as we were getting on top of things and everything was settling down, we were hit by a bit of a blow at the weekend when our little man took poorly again

A few months ago I do recall saying on here how he had been poorly and was in hospital, I didnt really feel up to sharing what that was all about, but he went through certain tests and then got the all clear at the beginning of September, hoorah!

but... then the weekend!
Riley had another bout of vacant episodes :( we thought we'd got through this but obviously not
Its so scary to suddenly not be able to communicate with your child, he was unresponsive and in the last of 3 episodes for nearly 4 mins, so we ended back up the hospital

We are now waiting for more referrals and tests, a sleep deprived eeg has been booked, so that will be fun trying to keep him awake as he is only allowed 6 hours sleep!

Anyway hes back to his normal self but I must admit I'm back to panic mode, I've felt physically sick leaving him at school and overly excited when I collect him.
With everything else our little man has to go through like speech therapy and seeing a consultant with regards to his behaviour, I really didnt want anymore pressure on him, but it seems thats not going to be the case for him

a bit of this and that

I've had a full on week since my last update, I've been in the shop all week as my shop partner sadly had a funeral to attend and then she had a booked trip to climb snowdon, which she completed which is just fabulous

I'm totally exhausted though and this Thursday is a day where nothing is planned and I hope so much it stays that way as I'm just going to retreat at home and relax whilst the boys are at school and just be me for a while

We have a gorgeous new stockist in the shop called Annette Mackie her handmades are truly scrumptious

I know gorgeous arent they
Our fabulous new flyers have arrived as well, designed by my amazing friend Lindsay from Evajeanie
On other things, I've totally gutted the boys room and cannot believe how many bin bags I have taken the tip, boxes I have for the charity shop, box for reception class at school and boxes of items to sell on! Where do they hoard all these broken and missing toys! I'm assured this will not change as they age, oh well

I've been busy planning and replanning my sales online and where I want to be, what I want to do, its a daunting job deciding whether or not to remove things from sale and to have a clear out of items made x
My idea is a sewing kit route with of course other little handmades still on offer, I'll share more once its all up and running

Enjoy your week and I'll share my to do and done list with you all soon x
