our market

Saturday saw our last market of 2012, so we were decked with christmas decorations and sang fun christmas songs from the Glee album
We had some amazing stalls as always of which i'd like to share with you
Evajeanie - a personal friend and fantastic crafter with fabric and printing

Porcelain Attic - a fantastic crafter with porcelain, Pauline sells in our little gift shop so we had enough supplies to set up a table with her makes

Dab and a Dash - another personal friend who makes me chuckle so much, Lorna really brightens up my day when I see her. Lornas journals are always have a fantastic talking point to them, I so remember that brownie uniform as thats the one I wore too, they are so well made and with so much love too

The Crow Road - a local crafter too who creates amazing and fun artwork by upcycling the most amazing finds - these alice brooches are always a hit

Wool Stories - Monika is an amazing spinner of yarn, her makes are are entirely her own work, so colourful, fun and vibrant just like the person who makes them

Handmade & Heritage - a lover of birds and embroidery amiee creates the most amazing brooches and necklaces, she has also started to screen print her artwork into gorgeous gift wrap! totally gorgeous they are too

Storefield Designs - is the wonderful John, he has the most amazing eye for detail and creates these fabulous canalware accessories (I own a few items and totally adore them) John is always up for a challenge, see the bowling alley pins, arent they just amazing, I've begged him to create me a russian doll on one, fingers crossed

Made by Donna - another personal friend, Donna is an amazing crocheter, her sweet nan taught her and Donna creates her own animal patterns that are out of this world! she'd sold out of them by the time I got to take the photo

The Cookie Box - the lovely Becky has a stall with us every other month, her cakes are too good to miss and generally the table is wiped clean with happy customers, her vanilla sponge is out of this world so are her christmas puddings

Thats all folks until a new market in February 2013! phew we actually take a break in January but not for long as we get together and start planning the stalls for the year!

Instagram Catch Up

Has a week passed by already, it feels like that ones gone in a blur!
This was the last week of school for the boys, as I said before they are moving to a new academy building in January when they return so this gorgeous old building will more than likely be no more - a very sad day when that happens, it a beautiful school, very much similar to the one I attended when I was little so I love it lots
I ended up spending a whole day in the boys room sorting through everything! and I mean everything! hence I was in there all day!
Friday was the last day at school but my little took poorly so we had lots of snuggles at home to make him feel better
I had the market and the craft group at the weekend so it was pretty much super busy but of course I love it or I wouldnt do it, I'll share photos tomorrow

I created this! I'll share it again this week in more detail

Pretties

We have so many gorgeous unique gifts in our little shop, one of which is porcelain attic, her porcelain gifts are just so super pretty, this week we took a delivery of more pretties

We're super happy as in the New Year I'll be creating a website for our little shop so we'll be able to offer little gifts like these to everyone not just local - very exciting times

frosty!

I've been walking to work this week and the views have been totally stunning
I'm super lucky that the shop we run is only a 20 minute walk away so close to home as I have a fear of been  too far away at the moment especially my little one still been undiagnosed with his seizures

Anyways these are the views of had its been worth the red nose and the chill to my cheeks
I really love this instagram picture so I'm thinking it may get printed up for cards next year
Has your walk to work been pretty too

its a little festive

Its getting a little festive here at home
The fresh pine tree is up, the decoratons are hung

I bought this little wicker decoration with a gold padded heart from a friend I had the perfect vintage glass button I wanted to add to it, I super love it now

I still have a few little handmade projects to complete to decorate our porchway and dining room but its finding the time, i've planned some for this sunday so heres hoping its enough time to do them all!

patterns...

I'm in the process of creating a crochet pattern and possibly a freebie on here if it works out okay! watch this space

threads!!

A while ago I managed to bag a bargain of threads for just £5, they were a little bit jumbled together so the other day I found some time to start out half of the bag!
Before!
 After!
I've still got half the bag left to do but this will do for now - phew

Things are pretty manic here at the moment and I feel there not going to be calming down for at least another week!

December has started so this is the advent I made for my gorgeous fella, its something I actually made last year, but couldnt find the right size tin that wasnt going to rip me off price wise!
My shop on not on the high street has gone mental, brilliant but tiring and exciting of course
So many dachshund lovers out there, these are keeping me super busy!

I've had my birthday which was a nice relaxing day with my family

We've been busy making our home feel a little warmer and cosier by buying cute art work and adding little *touches* here and there
The shop has been lovely to sit and work in, serve our customers and shuffle our stock around, I totally love the opportunity of running my own shop with a close friend
We're decorating the house for christmas this weekend and I'm super excited as I love opening up all the carefully wrapped decorations and forgetting I had them, so I practically squeal at everyone

I've been busy making fun christmas decorations for the home, which I'll share as soon as they are finished.
Another manic few weeks ahead as my boys finish school a whole week early! as they are moving into their new build in the new year so the school need the time to transfer everything up there!

Last week I had to very quickly (as in the night before as I got my dates wrong!) make a little alien costume for the little one
I'm currently thinking of non expensive ways to keep two boys occupied a whole week before christmas, and selfishly programme in some me time too!!!
