Cheering up a dreary day!

Sunday was wet! very very wet! there was a huge downpour for most of the day!
The boys were happy playing on games and watching movies, I was happy (not) cleaning and tidying up the home!
So to cheer up my space I thought I'd share the pretty floral delights in our hallway! showing the downpour behind it!

Craft Group Sanctuary!

I ran a craft group for three years prior to opening up my gift shop, sadly when I was left to run the business alone I had to make the decision to close the group as time was so limited with my family as it was!
Thanks to having no ties at the weekend anymore I made the decision to restart the group as it was such an important part of peoples lives, which may sound kind of silly but when you just need to take a break from family life to fulfil your crafting hobby needs, to finish a much needed project, to chat to other adults who enjoy the same things then the group became a haven for this

I'm excited because I've fully booked the hall up from February to December and the regulars and newbies are already booking in
Our first meet up was this weekend and it was fabulous to see so much craftiness going on
If there is nothing like this going on where you live then I think its something for you to look into, find a small village or community hall, message all your friends, post on craft groups, you will find it so fulfilling

Fur Babies

Last week was one of those weeks, me and the little one had the dreaded lurgy so not much happened, but something super fun did happen amongst all the tissues and sneezing!!!
My lovely friend was moving house and to a much smaller garden, so we have happily rehomed her bunny rabbits, there super gorgeous
So please meet the new additions to our fur baby family
Bruce and Lee!!! (renamed by my son)
They've settled in really well, Bruce (brown bunny) is really good to handle, Lee (black n white) is a little more 'adventurous' but he'll come round
They are currently living in the conservatory in indoor hutches which are great, but whilst cleaning them out, Lee decided to escape and have a look around the rest of the house!
I'm sure i'll be updating how the bunnies are getting on along with the rest of the fur baby family...

Road Trip!

Once in a while me and friends go on little road trips, there not far but there doing what we love most! mooching around shops and lots of laughs!
Friday was one of those days..
I needed to stock up my space in My Little Vintage so me and a friend popped along with hammer in hand to make a few alterations to our wall space display
Myself and another friend share this space so we are able to offer a bigger range of vintage and handmade
I totally love My Little Vintage and am so pleased to be apart of it
Whilst there I picked up a pot of Annie Sloan paint ready for another project which is actually for our home..

The Hallway

We're redocrating our hallway again as we felt it was a quick job to update it when we moved in but was far too dark
So we've stripped off wallpaper (finding a vintage wallpaper printed on the wall), ripped up the carpet and re plastered the walls
I chose a natural colour for the walls to brighten up this area and we got some decorators in to do the job for us as late nights in from work it just wasnt going to happen anytime soon
I cant wait to show off this space, its so much more inviting...

Book Review - The Drowning Girl

I was totally gripped by this book from the start for personal reasons
Its gripping as its a tale of a mothers struggle with her daughters differences!
I feel this most days with our little boy and the book totally sucked me in

A brief description is as I said a little girl who is different and her mother struggling to understand and not knowing how to help her! Until she asks for help from a guy who delves into past lives....
I wouldnt want to ruin it for you

Make a cuppa, have a tin of biscuits by your side (you may be there sometime) and enjoy...

Family Time

We planned a trip to London at the weekend as part of the boys birthday, a visit to the toy store Hamleys and food at Planet Hollywood
Riley was in lego heaven where Jack was in gaming heaven! soooo different!!
On Sunday I'd planned an afternoon with a friend to play catch up, we had lunch at the local Beckworths Emporium (sadly we were too early for afternoon tea - a reason for another get together) whilst there I couldnt resist this pot of daffodils so they are now bringing cheer in our home
A great weekend which makes a great start to our week, on a plus note my little job in The Warkton Pantry starts again this week too - excited :)
