Hmmm

well that didnt quite go to plan, my weekend that is

Saturday was a bit of a stressful start! thanks to two children namely mine winding each other and me up! but it soon got better once I sorted a babysitter and finally got to meet the lovely Anne at Colemans Warehouse, lots of craft natter followed by a pub lunch and 'life stuff' natter. It was lovely to finally meet her and she's stuck with me now as its defo going to happen on a regular basis from now on :)

My mini fun photo shoot didnt happen either, partly because I wasnt feeling too great but mostly due to not being able to find my darn battery charger for my camera - grr - and I still cant find it now :(

So watched this on Sunday

and I can say the whole street must have screamed 'It was over the line' !!!!!

but alas it was not meant to be and we got kicked out of the World Cup - I wont add a sad face to that because I'm not a huge fan of footie but all I kept shouting at the tv was 'Where the hell are our lads - theres no one there!' as Germany scored ANOTHER goal and ANOTHER!

Cazz and her kiddies came over so we had a fun lunch and they enjoyed the garden and we chilled and chatted as per usual :)

Today I got locked in my own house again! Thanks babe....

So the week for me is beginning from tomorrow - Tuesday -

Fun photo shoot

I'm really excited I've planned a mini fun photo shoot of my crochet and felt goodies with my friends in my garden this weekend, I've got props planned and I've forced them to come just for the love of keylime pie :) Will share soon - I'm very excited - oh i've already said that, well I am lol x

Delicious Miss Dahl

One morning last weekend I felt a bit pooped and just lay on the sofa for the morning and tryed to relax - yeah right me relax - well I was trying to with good intentions

I started to flick through the channels and came across 'The delicious Miss Dahl' and to say I was in awe is truly an understatement

The recipes were delicious, her conversations were fabulous and I was so relaxed it was a miracle

I made Tel watch another one with me on catch up tv and his words were 'She's very calming isnt she' and we both just slumped on the sofa and watched and listened to her cook away merrily with memories of her youth :)

I'm her new biggest fan, I am you know :)

I'm having to put all of my craft goodies away at the moment otherwise we'd forever be eating on our laps! So I just thought I'd show you the temporary home of my crafting supplies, well one of them anyways :) Its not wonky honest, I think I may have stood on one leg and leaned to take this image *grin*

Yesterday was a downer day for me, the weekend was made shite by a statement and it kinda hit me again yesterday so I spent most of it trying to cheer myself up, which didnt take too long as my wonderful partner had taken every single key to do with the house to work with him! Hence thanks to friends my kids were lifted through windows and taken to school and nursery! lol only me eh - but I got more gardening done, the craft goodies were finally place in said cabinet above and I cooked homemade chicken nuggets which were delicious :) yum yum yum

Remembering

I found a bunch of old photos of when I was in the Air Training Corps, 2371 sqn. We use to go on Annual holidays to Raf bases and the first one I ever went too was Raf Linton-on-ouse
I remember it being awesome

I remember having to get up in the middle of the night and freezing standing outside as our fire alarm went off
I remember going on hikes and being totally exhausted but enjoyed every minute of it
I remember having my first flight in a Lynx helicopter for 2 1/2 hours at topcat in Yorkshire
I remember making friends for life
I remember it all like it was yesterdayRemembering is a good thing to do :)

Quirky Crafts Challenges

Its being a while since I've managed to join in with the Quirky Crafts Challenges as a design team member due to everything being packed and then moving home :)

Currently the challenge is anything to do with summer, this is my take on it

It doesnt really look like much as its a blank mini book, but i've got it ready for activities that we do over the summer holidays and to document some of our favourite things

with this funky keyring :)To be honest I've made this for myself but I'm wondering whether to make some more to sell on, as they are quite fun :)

Healthy Wedges!

Back on SW but at home I thought I'd share a way to make scrummy healthy potato wedges, and believe me they are delicious :)

First cut up your potato in wedge shapes and as an added flavour cut up sweet potato, remembering to remove the skin (as thats tough as ole boots - yuk)

Spray your pan with frylight (sold in all major supermarkets) or if you want them a little less healthy, pop in some oil, add your wedges and respray with frylight

Sprinkle on some season-all and get your hands dirty by rolling around your wedges making sure there all covered with frylight and seasoning

Cook for approx 25 mins with a temperature of 200c

Halfway through cooking turn your wedges over

Once cooked plate up and enjoy :) add a fried egg or a roll, these are truly great for the whole family, for other seasoning try salt and pepper or a chilli seasoning

Lemon cupcakes

Debbie could seriously be in trouble for providing us all with the delicious recipes on her blog, the crunchy topped lemon cupcakes are my most favvo though, so today another supply has being made for us and friendsI say friends, because I am healthy eating at the moment, and a batch of 12 would not last long in my eyes, so I dish half out to friends to save me the temptation :)

I have a fab and gorgeous key lime pie recipe to share too, once I make it again I'll post details and photos :)

woyww but late cause its t

I use to love joining in with woyww but due to packing and moving up house I havent really being able too - so I thought I'd share my craft room on moving day :(I do have big plans for my new craft space but its not gonna happen overnight but hopefully it will happen in the very near future - until then the dining table rules :)

Paper Flowers

I always set an inbetween challenge for the crop girls and for June it was a sketch, this is my take on it

I also made my own flower which I really like and will be making more for a planned circle journal coming my way

Papers used are an old pack of 7gypsies I found :)

Cluck Clucks

Today i've being sorting out parts of garden, i've taken lots of photos so I can see how much it changes over the year (as I'm told something is constantly flowering somewhere hehe) but also to show the changes that we make too, to put our own personal stamp on it.

This is my most favourite tree in the garden, just needs pruning as looking heavy on one side and the rockery to the right side of it needs sorting out too

I'm currently concentrating on this area though as there are a few tree stumps which i'm moving around, which the girls (as in the clucks) loved cause of all the grubs they got to eat :)

The Weekend

Wow the weekend has just flown by!

Saturday was my crop and we had a scream this weekend with thanks to fabric and glue dots! Lots of cursing but we got there in the end!

Sunday was our first bbq in our new garden, and we had fun

thankfully the downpour came this evening, and thats about it really :)
