Its begun

the school holidays that is!
The last few days have looked like this!
I restocked at My Little Vintage in Earls Barton on the last day of school
We said goodbye to an amazing reception teacher who has taught both of my boys! She will be missed so much and we wished her all the best in her new job
I made her an apple fabric cushion with her name hand embroidered into it
me and little man lunched! his choice of place was Macdonalds of course
I held the first craft supplies destash of the year which was amazingly well attended and all the sellers did so well, I baked and they sold out too - phew
The destash are fantastic, especially if someone is just starting out crafting, its a much cheaper way of doing it and I love the haggling! and the swapping of supplies, great fun

The next few days are filled with in house stuff (weather is shocking), easter making fun and a bowling treat for the boys

Craft Sanctuary

Last weekend was the monthly craft group, a small group this month as others were off out or poorly
I started my new addiction of creating hexies, to which I came home and continued and now have a jar full!

Vintage Fleur

This week I restocked and shuffled around in Vintage Fleur in Kettering, I also had a cheeky chai latte whilst I was there of course!!
I've also decided to sell the vintage chest of drawers, I love them so much as they were my little shops counter but to make way for better display furniture it needs to go and i've no where to store it
I love it, its certainly different and unique and will make someone very happy I hope once its rehomed!

Nope

I cant do it! I cant stop my blog! I like chattering and storing memories too much to say goodbye, even if I am just speaking to myself!
I've reduced the idea of the blog in my head so I see it more as a pleasure than a chore so I feel more focused by sorting this out
and who wouldnt want to see this gorgeous pooch once in a while!!!

Pondering

about whether to say goodbye!

I love my blog but I'm wondering if its time to say goodbye!
I interact so much on Instagram and Facebook so much I just feel that I'm duplicating what Im putting where!

I have all the best intentions of doing tutorials and more projects but time slips by and then I feel bad for not completing them, but I really truly do have so much going on at the moment that I am looking at reducing it all, to be honest I've made a really good start at reducing the stress intake

I just cant decide, I feel bad for taking a break I feel good for updating! but who am I updating for!!!

Fly By

Another week in our household has flown by!
It included Mothers Day where I had a much needed extra sleep in the morning, breakfast in bed, presents of gardening gifts, pyjamas and of course chocolate which was happily! shared with the boys!!!
I found this old photo of my Mum in the early 70s!
Red Nose Day (Comic Relief) also happened and as a family we entered the cake competition at school, the boys decorated the top and I baked the cake, it raised a good £8 in the auction towards the charity
I also baked some mini cupcakes to sell which raised another £10 too
With spring around the corner its nice to enjoy the park with the fresh brisk air and our new fur bunnies had a good hop around the garden this weekend too
Heres to another fun filled week...

Cable Reel Coffee Table ...

I've been after a cable reel for what seems like forever!
Finally I got my hands on one, only a small one but then I was so undecided as to what to do with it, it sat on the top of the storage unit until inspiration came my way!

I chose to paint the top with chalkboard paint as it would make a fun coffee table for everyone of any age to use, I painted the bottom with a blue chalkpaint and decoupaged with vintage sewing patterns (incomplete ones of course)

I added 4 casters to the bottom so its moveable and hey presto, a funky little cable reel coffee table
I love it, its now for sale in My Little Vintage in Earls Barton

Stockists!

I had a re think about my area in Vintage Fleur, I've decided to downsize to give someone else the chance to fill the den area, which I'm sure they will better than me!
After a brief discussion with my friend we decided to share her den which is really bright and airy!
So I moved in - thats me on the left
I also restocked the space that we share in My Little Vintage too
