Little by Little

we are making improvements in our garden

This time last year (we moved here in May) this area of the garden looked like this

A built in aviary covered to the hills in ivy and near on crashing down, the ivy was trailing and attaching itself to everything in site, including the washing line!

The rockery was overgrown and all the roses in the garden were in dire need of pruning

Over the last couple of months we've managed to rip down the two aviarys revealing a brick wall and due to the lovely sunshine the last couple of days I've dug and weeded and brushed and raked off the entire rockery.

I have a plant in mind for here and I'm going to grow herbs in pots on here too, I need to rearrange or buy some new edging that it will be complete

Whilst at my parents over the weekend, we popped into the local garden centre like we always do, but this time I was stopped in my tracks, firstly trying to figure out how exactly if I purchased it how would it fit in the car! and secondly I couldnt figure out how I was going to find £4500 spare in our budget!It is amazing though isnt it! and it would fit in my garden :)

Sharing Ideas

I went to see a lovely friend of mine on Friday and her garden is full of inspiration, little quirks and lots of seating areas

Our garden needs so much work doing it so I'm always looking for inspiration on how to utilise it for so many different needs but still look gorgeous and pretty

Deco Tape

I've been wanting to purchase some deco tape for some time to jazz up my quirkyboots jiffy bags

I love the range that Dots and Spots have on offer so I finally made up my mind and picked the green bunting

Pocket Mirror Lushness

I now own a pretty ounce of lushness that is Snapdragons Garden

They recently held a sale with funds going towards the Japan Appeal

Look at all the gorgeous packaging it came with, it was like Christmas :)

I found these fab pre-cut kraft cards on Ebay and just had to have some, the works all done, all I need to do is stamp my details on, £3 for 50 I thought was a bargain considering I dont have to do any cutting/sizing or cornering :)

I've got a new mug cosie design as much as I loved the last one I did feel that I was slurping on wool as well my cuppa, so I've lowered it a little :)

Spring

is appearing in our garden and I'm loving it

We have so much to do to turn this garden around as we feel that the last owners planted whatever wherever with no purpose, so lots of hard work and organising ahead of us

We've already taken down the ivy archway - yew and the aviarys from the top of the garden so there is some progress

Auctions

I'm contributing to two auctions on facebook at the moment so I thought I'd make something different for them to auction off, with thanks to the lovely Hayleigh of Lollyrocket Candles I found some super sweet fabric so I cant wait to figure out how to switch my sewing machine on and get them made

Warkton Market

We had another fun filled day at our market yesterday, some gorgeous stalls as always, we were run off our feet but I wouldnt miss it for the world

Another busy week has flown by with no blog posts, today was our Monthly Craft Market and it was another fabulous show of visitors and wonderful makes from the stall holders, the sunshine was in place which helped all the more

Michelles partner made the a-frame for us and Michelle spent an evening painting it - I love it so in keep with our pretty market

Crop Day

Today was my craft group day - I look forward to this day so much every month as everyone is just so great. Today was no exception, I laughed so much I was crying with face ache!

I didnt get around to taking many photos but I did take these few

The lovely Heather treated us by bringing these cakes in from the local 'cakery' as its her birthday next week

Sue finished off the binding with some handstitching on this beautiful 'hello kitty' quilt

and I actually, I belive for the first time since running the group, actually started and finished this project today!

Aprils group is cancelled due to the school holidays so roll on May and some fun decopatch time :)
