Handmade Heart Swap

Just a reminder that I'm holding a 'Handmade Heart Swap' on my blog

I've decided to have a closing date for names on the list to be Sunday 12th September, the kiddies will be back at school so you have plenty of time to think about joining in

The full details will be sent out to each person on the list but basically a swap of something handmade with a heart theme by yourself is all that I'm asking, there will be lots of time to get your creating caps on as the posting out date wont be until at least the beginning of November to give us all time especially as we have families to deal with

just busy

Only just over a week left before Jack goes back to school (year 4!!!) and Riley starts a different nursery towards the end of September full time in the mornings! The holidays have gone so quickly I feel like we havent done much

The weather is awful here at the moment, constant rain to the point the fish pond is nearly full! which doesnt help with going out and doing things

Jack and I are out to see the film Marmaduke later this afternoon, cant wait for that some quality time together :)

As for this morning and in other spare time I have I'm trying my best to design and make a christmas range ready for my online stores and my craft market, hence this is the look of the dining room table earlier today

Sooo cant wait for my studio to be done, although on a plus point the boys room is nearly complete, with fab bright colours, i'll show once its all finished

Be back more regular once the holidays are finished I think :)

Chunky Bow Brooch Pattern

Hi everyone, thought I'd share a super duper easy and fun crochet pattern with you

Chunky Bow Brooch Pattern

CH12

Row 1 - SC in 2nd CH from hook and each st across = 11

CH1 turn

Row 2 - 4 Repeat Row 1

Fasten off

Pinch middle of bow together and secure with some thread

Attach a button for decoration with same thread and a brooch bar on the back

Warkton Craft Market

Yesterday was mine and michelles first organised craft market, it was touch and go for a moment with a few people cancelling at the last moment but it all worked out smoothly in the end.

The visitors came and went and we had a steady flow of people in the majority of the day who all gave positive feedback on the stall holders, venue and layout which we were really pleased with. I met some lovely people so a huge wave to everyone that I stood and chatted away too :)

The stall holders were fantastic and made some great sales too, a real talented bunch of girls :)

Hosting a Swap

I would love love love to host a swap on my blog with a theme on handmade hearts!

It can be anything from fabric to knitted, from paper to stone!

It would mean a bunch of us signing up to it, me arranging a list and you sending your swap goodies onto the person next on the list!

There will be plenty of time to join in as I'll set a date well in advance so we can get our thinking caps on and hands a crafting :)

Once I have a list of people then I can give out more details directly

Only five more sleeps until our first craft market

Funky Laundry Line

Can you imagine these on your laundry line :) How funky would they look, or do you want to keep them indoors and use them as a note holder! Either way I loved creating them so I hope you enjoy them tooThe blue ones are my favourite and funnily enough they just sold within an hour of posting them on my store - but no worries, the paint will be out again so I can create some more whilst jigging along to La Roux of course :)

Crochet Pebbles!

What I hear you ask!

A while ago I saw some pebbles on the web with a crochet casing and I thought they were so cute and I badly wanted to make some paperweights out of them, great for little gifts and my craft market I thought, but everytime I tried to make one they just looked wrong! So I gave up!

Well until last night that was, I was feeling so rough (me is poorly with a bug at the moment) that I picked them up and finally created these

Hallway Decor Inspiration

We're in the process of awaiting the new carpet to be fitted on the stairs and landing and then we'll pop some new laminate flooring down in the hallway.

I've been looking for decor inspiration as now we have a porch, we at least dont need as much clutter in the stairs area

I'm certain of the colours I want, which will be olive green in the porch and green accents in the stair area, we need a storage area too
