Rainy day picnics

Twice a week Riley doesnt stay for lunch at nursery so on these two days I try to make lunch extra special for him, today was fun, I let him pick his food for an indoor picnic, why indoor, oh that will be because of the rain we've had on and off all day.

He laid out his tea towel and lunch (all picked by him) he has a thing for tea pots and beakers so of course they make a show too

He also decorated some gingerbread men for a snack
What did you have for lunch today :)

darn puter!

Blogger issues then internet issues meant that I havent been on here, so I thought I'd start by showing you the start of a project which hopefully wont take all that long to complete!

I got the gorgeous old chair from my local junk shop (Nannas Attic) which I adore and could spend hours in there and on Saturday I had my monthly crop and I showed everyone how addictive decopatching is!
Hence my chair is going to be very blue with a hint of pink when I'm finished - cant wait :)

oh me oh my!!!

At christmas I begged and begged and got the hummingbird bakery cookbook (now in dire need of new book cake days but ssssh)

Anyways I've never baked brownies before as they seem a tad difficult to me, but oh me oh my, today I baked some brownies from my cookbook, I was in heaven upon tasting said brownies, the boys were actually quiet the whole time they were eating them to the point Jack said 'you are the best mummy LIKE EVER' :)If you cant bake brownies - you can now!!

work desk

I was busy this morning making up and starting on new orders, which I'll be finishing off tonight once the boys tucked up. The radios been playing so many songs from the film Dirty Dancing that I think I might just have to pop that on tonight and have a jig inbetween sewing!Quite colourful dont you think

Teal Glass

My love of glass really is growing, I'll have to take some time out and photo it all to show and tell
This is another lovely piece I got from the lovely Hayleigh at Lollyrocket Candles its one that she picked up but just couldnt use for a candle
I just might fill this with buttons and run my fingers through them all, its a fantastic relaxation technique, I totally recommend it :)

woyww

Thought it was about time I joined in again as I enjoyed it so much before, I'm still no closer to having my craft space sorted, its more of a junk room at the moment, but things within the house have cropped up that were more important
I'm currently crafting on my dining room table out of baskets of which I have to pack away each time, which is annoying but its what has to happen at the moment, so heres my baskets - no work to show, just basketsOn another bargain note, I've been after a few folders to store all orders and suppliers details and I grabbed gorgeous and very bright pink ones from Tesco at just 45p each

As for eeyore, he's my new pal, my gorgeous little man knew how much I loved eeyore so this is my gift from his time in America :)

So hello again to all you woyww's I'll try to get round a few now :)

New wedding collection

I'm starting a new wedding collection of handmade goodies, some pretty vanilla hearts with raspberry pom pom trim and personalised with the happy couples names and wedding date
What do you think? I'll be adding to the collection over time :)

Charity Bargains

I had a few good charity finds today, this bracelet is made from coconut shell, I actually got one for my friends christmas present a couple of years ago and loved it so much, so when I saw this for a bargain price of £1.25 I had to have it
I picked up the pretty teal bangle for £1 also This tea set was the bargain of all bargains, Michelle and I have been after some for our craft market to go with our cream teas, and this beauty of set of 6 in mint condition was a steal at £5Such a pretty pattern too :)
Did you get any good finds today?

Great Outdoors

We saw lots of the great outdoors this weekend, but only in our garden, we had a bit of a problem with our fish pond which sadly meant we lost our big koi carp :(
Whilst the big boys were fixing and emptying and sorting out the pond area I took a few snaps of what else is going on in the garden at the moment
Spinach needs thinning and planting outfuschia bulbs are growing nicely
one single peony
and nope the name escapes me of this pretty shrub we have! but it is very pretty
The big boys doing what they do best - making a mess!
Hope you had a less eventful weekend then we did!

and our chill out day on the beach :)We've had easter!for which my little man was away in America for with his dads family, I missed him so much and was super happy when I spoke to him on msn and super super happy when he came home :)
We watched the royal wedding and I loved every minute of it, I totally adored her dress especially the simplicity and vintage style to itand of course the kiss :)I'm now very busy sorting out quirkyboots new website which is delayed due to everything going on here, lots of new things to be finished off and of course my preemie baby hats are in the making too

Michelle and I are working very hard at the future of our little monthly market, serving cream teas now and just non stop organising! its hard work but we love it
