The winner is Paula aka Art and Home thank you honey and I'll get your goodies out in the post very soon

So pop on over to the new shop and take a peek, any feedback appreciated :)

Don't you just love

it, you know, doing something that you just enjoy so much

There was such a great atmosphere at the weekend and theres nothing better than a very busy scrapping table with five of us squished around itI'm also loving a few other sites at the moment, either for inspiration, information or just general useage
  • Netmums - great for helpful information on your local area, a place to sell your items and fantastic forums for all kinds of support
  • Freecycle - awesome for moving your unwanted items on to a new home and vice versa
  • Paper Craft Junkies - I've been part of this crafting forum for some time now, I host a monthly stamped image swop and there is loads of crafting inspiration for cardmaking, scrapbooking, atc's and altered art. Also there new look home page is full of ideas
  • Allotments - I have an allotment and one of the best places I've found for fantastic guides and a helpful forum is this one.

Hope at least one of them will be of use to you sometime :)

Whats in your 6th box!!

The lovely Lori (I'd like to say we both have adorable shih tzus hehe) has tagged me, here's the deal with what you have to do

  • go to the 6th file in your 'my pictures' folder

  • post the 6th photo

  • explain the picture

  • then tag 6 more peeps :)

Well this is our gorgeous E30 bmw, Tel built this from scratch, it started off in a grey chassis then we got a black one, he built the engine, welded in the leather interior, everything you can imagine, he did it to this beauty.
Whilst I was pregnant with Riley this was my vehicle for work, and believe me it roared!!! everyone could hear me coming lol Even when I was heavily pregnant I carried on driving it, but due to it been lowered! I use to practically get out on my knees!!! lol ~memories~

Anyway recently we sold it :( a very sad day to be honest because we both did love it loads, but the last thing it needed was a complete respray which sadly we just could not afford :( so its now been re-sprayed bmw racing green! has roll bars in it! and is going to be a track car, so she gets to live once more.

So I tag, Rosie, Elaine, Kirsty, Emma, debbie and claire

I bet you'll be shocked to see what pictures are there girls :)

Heavy layout photo post!

Now I had a 'proper' weekend :) I met some fantastic girl friends and had a great time, I laughed and laughed but sadly we all forgot the tena ladies!!! The conversations went from direction to the other (nothing I can mention here sadly) I made my usual 'dippy' comments, hence the word PROPER is back on the scene and will be for some time!!!! lol

I made some gorgeous (if I say so myself) layouts with some even more gorgeous kits that we helped Steph put together
The ever beautiful Freya
My beautiful boysThese kits will soon be available over at indigo mill
A gorgeous goodie bag and box
I still have some kit left from this LO so watch this spaceand a challenge!!! my style seems to be that of white space, so the girlies challenged me to use as much space as I could and they chose (I have to say) the worst papers EVER... and it took me so long to put this together, photo is courtesy of Claire (thank you very much) and I apologise again for the ever so bright layout that now adorns your scrapbook.

Phew, you still here - lol - thanks for popping by x

bleurgh

Riley's still a poorly boy, and now Mummy doesn't feel too great, and typically for the first time in years Saturday night I am suppose to be going away to the wonderful Stephs house from Indigo Mill for a girlie get together for scrapping, laughing and maybe a few tipples too!
So fingers crossed I'm still okay to go
and just because a post looks bare without a photo, another goodie from my soon to open Etsy shop hehehe

nearly time

Its takes so long to upload photos, edit and add text in Etsy! as there is no 'similar stuff for sale' button, you have to re-do each and every item for sale! I've gone and shot myself in the foot too, after ringing Inland Revenue yesterday because I've called my Etsy store a different name to my website I now have to fill out TWO tax forms!!! Grrr

My little man is still very poorly today, was very sick in the night and running a high temp, he's cuddled in having a snooze at this moment in time - bless my little monster.

This was my all time favourite book when I was little and read it over and over again, I loved this cat so muchI got a bargain at amazon, I purchased a board book version of it for £0.01p, yes 1p and a couple of quid postage and it arrived today :)

'There is no friendship, no love like that of a mother for her child'

Wednesday 21 January 2009

I have a poorly little man at home, he just woke up this morning with red raw cheeks, a barking cough and a smelly bum bumLast night whilst everyone was tucked up sleeping and snoring (babe!) I finished off a few little projects for me - week 2 & 3 of the 52q

really enjoying this journal so far, nice simple pages to work with :)

I'm a bit of a hoarder when it comes to my boys makes and finds! i have large scrapbooks that i keep all of jacks work in from his childminder days, home and now school too, we're up to book four!! Riley is still on book one at the moment, but I love flicking through them and see how their art and writing has changed :)

So a great saying for today then

'You never realise how much your mother loves you till you explore the attic - and find every letter you ever sent her, every finger painting, clay pot, bead necklace, Easter chicken, cardboard Santa Claus, paper lace mother's day card and school report since day one'

Luxury

Umm I've decided to close my wedding website for a few weeks whilst I do a complete revamp! Out with the old I say and in with the brand spanking new. Apart from about three designs all of the others have gone to the recycle bin and new ones are on their way.

Here's a sneek of two of them

Whilst browsing the net I came across this gorgeous photo of Audrey Hepburn and it made me smile lotsToday's motherly quote is

A Mother's love is forever; time, distance, hardship... all fall before the strength of her love.

Nik-on

On Saturday Rosie and I were playing around with our cameras, and I seriously think I've cocked up the settings on mine somewhere! they just come out blurred, even though the settings were the same as Rosie's camera mine were so much darker! :(
anyways, I still love my camera just obviously need to learn how to bloody use it better :) which is quite difficult when the weather is so rubbish at the moment.
With regards to my blog title, I could have quite easily ripped that Nikon from her neck and ran off with it, shouting mine all mine and cackling as I ran down the street with it! lol

Rosie got this gorgeous photo of my little munchkin who is now officially a toddler (can his tantrums really get any worse!!!)In my last post I forgot to mention about an incident in the smallest cafe in the world (or so it felt) on Saturday whilst out. We had ordered our lunch and there was a moaning minnie behind us stating that's not what she thought her food was going to be and to take it back and she'll make do with a crumpet!
Just before she left Riley was getting a tad annoyed cause he was hungry and was been a little noisy! Hey is a toddler remember, and suddenly from the pit of this woman's stomach she did the loudest cough ever!! and muttered 'For Goodness Sake!
Can you believe it! I couldn't! I really could not believe it, and I didn't even had a chance to query her sudden outburst as I was in proper shock! as to where the rest of the cafe! lol

So until I run out of quotes about Mothers I will add one here on my blog each day :) just to remind us how important our roles are even through the ups and downs and coughing incidents :)

'A Mother's love is like a circle. It has no beginning and no ending'

super duper

Don't you just love bowling, I do, two games is certainly enough especially when 3 kids are just letting go off the dam ball, oh the amount of times Cazz and I winced at the echoing sound of that ball been dropped, in between us chit chatting about our farms on facebook!
Its a surprise too how well you play when you start to think of someones head as that ball... I got a fair few strikes and halves for that :)
Jack very patiently waited for Daddy to come home before opening more presents**somewhere along the line I think I've screwed the settings up for my camera, although I doubt the flash helps! 98% were all blurred last night :( very sad)**
This boy loves his Laa LaaHow funny does Wicket look! Very tiny... don't let that fool you cause he's massive! But the boys had a good time, the evening began at MacDonald's, well for some of us it did!!! (You see my idea of McD's is near the supermarket, everyone else's is in town) hence poor little Sol getting no dinner, other than a Wimpy from the alley (which come on, you cant count Wimpy as dinner can you?)Jacks chrimbo pressie in the form of a ball - one very happy boy with that.and when we finally released Riley from his chair

a late night but a good night had by all, Jacks friends are popping round after school for cake as we didn't even have time to munch on that.

Poor baby

My little fella yesterday fell over and hit his eye on a book! he proper scrapped the skin off and I was thinking at the worse that he was gonna have a black eye but fear not he woke up this morning, still puffy and red but thankfully that's all.We went to view another nursery for him today, just for once a week and well - its great, so much better than the hell hole I looked at the end of last year - urgh - this one is warm, friendly, colourful, all the children seem happy, Riley will be happy because he will also get a cooked dinner there too :) but the best thing, Riley loved it, he was taking in the colours the whole time we were there and loved the gerbils too.

On a crafty note over at Easy Craft Projects is a calendar which is easy enough for kids to make, simple quick and a gift at the same time.Pop on over here where you can download the instructions.
