Kitty & HS-MS

Well here is my Kitty at last! Isnt she adorable, she has a poorly ear too, can you see. Bless her.
I purchased the pattern (which is from the fabulous Melly and Me girls) and fabrics from Buttonberry a lifetime ago, and you know when you think 'I'm gonna do that' and then something else takes priority! But hey ho, she's alive now and I'd say by the end of the week she's going to have some sisters too! Watch this space...

Todays HS-MS is Currency - Show us what is being used for currency in your space today!

Bonus Bonds! Well I recently resigned from job, so I can be a stay at home Mummy, which I am loving entirely, its really hard work, but I'm loving it.
Anyways, where I use to work, you got vouchers monthly for sales targets bla bla bla, and they obviously were emptying all my accounts and I had a lovely surprise of over a £100 falling through my door! Not bad considering I left for maternity last January!!

More craftiness tomorrow x

365 days, Jen Hall & HS-MS

Well its been a busy crafting morning, mind you I have been up since 6.30am!! Thanks Riley...
I've done my first LO for 365 days, I forgot as I was doing it that you were suppose to use a photo from Week one, but I've used the photo from Day 8!!! Oh well never mind.
I also scrap lifted one of Anna Louise Bowkis LOs because I just adored it. No where near as good as Anna's but I'm happy with it.

Did you spot the obvious mistake!! I was too hasty and couldnt wait for the glue to dry on the buttons before I took the photo - lol.

I've been so busy doing other things, I got way behind with Jens class, but I'm nearly up to date now, I really love the simplicity of this class but the results are amazing, I'll certainly be using this style over and over again. Heres a few to see nowI'm a dinner table crafter as you can see!!!!

HS-MS is sps day today! Heres another from my 365 days experience.

Lots more to show, but I'll leave that till tomorrow. x

365 days of me, HS-MS & New Tricks!

I finally found a small notebook that I want to use for my 365 day Journal. Its a pink fabric bound unlined notebook. I found it cheap in Woolworths. I covered it with patterned paper, lace, flowers, numbers and some bling!
I'm happy with it, I'm going to jot down the daily prompts and how I feel, the weather, what I'm up to that day etc - I'll also alter some of the pages, cant wait to get started now. My photos will either be LO's or I may do something with all of them at the end of the year!
HS-MS - Tube - A hollow, usually cylindrical body of metal, glass or plastic used especially for conveying or containing liquids or gases. Not a fantastic photo, but I kinda like how 'impulse' is clear and the edges are blurred.
Riley's new trick! You may just be able to notice that he is actually standing in a basket!! He trys to get the books of the bookcase and he's learnt that if he gets in the basket it flings him forward more!!! nightmare child - lol
He is currently asleep, he hasnt slept all day due to the carpet man making lots of noise this morning, Riley hates any noise like banging, the hoover and especially my hairdryer!!

Recycling

Its part of our everyday lives now isnt it. Collected once a fortnight (nightmare in summer!) and now our council is bringing in waste food boxes too, that will be the fifth box or bin to the collection!
On a good note though, I'm finally just getting into it. I have a routine with separating everything bla bla.
On a crafting note, all of our christmas and recent birthday cards have all either been cut up to recycle onto future cards or are currently sitting in the 'red paper box'.
With a little inspiration from the girls over at Buttonberry I've found some cotton bags and ordered them. I love this idea, I'm going to make a few for Mum and the rest for future craft fairs. Whenever I'm in the supermarket these days I find myself buying a 'bag for life'.
I'll show you as soon as I've finished them.
Cazz I gonna need your sewing machine!!! hehehe If I enjoy using it, I'll have to invest in one for myself.
Well hope that didnt bore you to death but nothing else to share today, other than broken floorboards and our bedroom looking like a storage box!
TTFN, will defo be back with more crafting goodness over the next few days.

HS-MS

Wrinkle - A slight fold in fabric or skin. Come on...be brave and show us your wrinkles!I've cheated today, I did try to take a pic of my wrinkles around my eyes - sorry laughter lines!!! - but my camera just wouldnt play along.
So this is Riley less than an hour old with a very wrinkly forehead, these are the best and most beautiful wrinkles of all - My Babies.... x

Chocolate Train! & HS-MS

Well Friday was Rileys first birthday, as I've previously said, he loves his pressies, especially his truck with bricks and a fantastic pirate ship, which I might add is rather noisy!!!Heres my attempt at a fun first birthday cake, lots of chocolates and sweeties, thrown together in about 20 mins hehe - choo choo - heheLots of family for a tea party, it was good to see everyone together, not often that happens.
I'm an even busier bee over the next few days, I have carpets been fitted on Wednesday and two boys bedrooms to clear!!! All their stuff in our room - we cant move - lol.

HS-MS today is Ring - A circular shape, pattern or marking. The bowl is circular and the cats make a ring all the way round - I love it.
I remember back in the days when I was skint!! I fell in love with biscuit barrel in 'Boots' so I saved up for it and finally bought it, when I finally saved up for the rest of the set, it was discontinued, I was gutted!!

Sketch this: Cards & HS-MS

This is my take on Sketch this: Cards 37. Another plain and simple card with the Sassafras papersHS-MS - a few days behind due to internet problems.
Number - An arithmetical value expressed by a word, symbol or figure.Dangle - To hang or swing loosely. (will add photo later today)
SPS - This is from my 365 days of me. I'm really not into photos of myself to be honest, so this 365 challenge that Anna Louise Bowkis is running is really helping. I update my 365 blog a few times a week, so please keep checking back on it.

Our gorgeous little fella was ONE yesterday, we are having a party tomorrow with family, I dare say next post will be photos of that.
I still cannot believe he has gone from this (taken less than an hour old - there were complications when he was born so couldnt take a photo earlier)

To this - a right mucky little fella who has the devil in him sometimes - lol

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY RILEY X

Thursday 17 January 2008

Sketch this: Cards, Di Hickman & Saturday Sketch.

All my plans went out the window today, I was going to walk into town but its chucking it down, so ended up staying at home, Riley slept for awhile after the school run, so I decided to run some cards up, all using the same products.Products used are Sassafras Serendipity pp, purple onion stamps, buttons from stash.
All plain and simple summery cards using three different sketches.

Di Hickman 9th Jan Sketch

Saturday SketchThe weather really is awful here today, so the light for the photos is poor - so apologies as it doesnt do the colour of the cardstock and pp justice. They really are bright and vibrant.

HS-MS

Indulge - To allow oneself to enjoy a pleasure
Certainly something Cazz and I 'over' indulge in on occasions - love camembert....

Altered Art, Crazy Dolls & another weight loss.

Firstly I received some coasters from the super talented ladies over at Artz de Scrap, the theme was family, this is what I did with mine. Photo of all three isnt too great - sorry -

Products used are Basic Grey mellow pp, ribbons, mini coasters, flowers rub ons, die cuts all from stash.
I made this about my fella, because without him, we wouldnt be the family that we are. He is so strong and supportive, funny (although doesnt know when to button it sometimes! lol) but there for me no matter what, and I love him loads, yes I really do.

I've entered into the weird and wonderful world of Momiji Dolls I fell in love with these whilst surfing other blogs and hey presto, welcome to the family Flowers and Spike

I love um - hehehe

Also another weight loss last night, only a pound but hey its a loss. I will soon be starting a slimathon, more on that next week.

Thats it for today. Thanks for reading x

Birthday Boy

My gorgeous angel was 6 today - 6 -
I was a tad emotional this morning, he was so excited opening his presents, he really loves 'The Golden Compass' at the moment (he hasnt seen it, just the adverts) but loves everything he sees about it. Hence his cake, DS game, toy and jigsaw were of 'The Golden Compass' variety!
He went to see panto for the first time today. He said he really enjoyed it.
Then he came home, his friends popped round and we sung happy birthday and lit his cake

Wow - 6 -
Happy Birthday Baby - Love you tons and tons. xxxxxxxxx
