Tell all

well i'm a couple of days late with this but to be honest there is nothing to tell!!!
Emma asks - Did you have an imaginary friend!
To my knowledge and remembrance - I didnt!!!
I was a daydreamer, still am really but I didnt have that 'friend' :(

On a crafty note, here is a layout that I made for ECP with the Indigo Mill kitI loved this kit and they are so worth the money, the kits start from £4.99 a real bargain to be head, so if your looking for something different, pop on over to Indigo Mill and have a peek at whats on offer.
You can see how I put the layout together over at ECP available on a down loadable format :)
(The light here is so rubbish at the moment! This is a gorgeous bright red card - wouldnt think it would you)
Very busy creating at the moment for my upcoming craft fair and book fairs so busy bee that I am must pop off and 'create' dinner for the little ones first :)

Bingo Wings galore...

and walking sticks too...
Yes last night we - as in Mother and me - were grooving away to Cliff Richard :)A good show was put on and because it was the 50th anniversary of his music there was certainly lots of variety

my highlight of the evening was Jasper Carrot walking past me
who practically ducked and ran for cover when he heard his name been screamed out! lol Sorry but I was excited, I've seen the guy live and think he's a great fellow brummie :)

The downside of the evening was thiswell not literally, but the baguette it was in was that rockhard it bounced out of the bin and slammed on the floor!

Mum had a great time though, having a boogie in the aisle and a few more gifts of official merchandise from us to finish the evening off for her :)

On a crafty note, RosieDee's challenge went live last night, and it was my turn (thank you Rosie for uploading it for me) we had to use the scraps from our layouts last week and make some cards, as many as we liked, I managed two, Rosie of course managed 8!!!!

Here's a sneak of mine

Cliffette - not...

Where has nearly a week gone! With Tels dad staying with us and trips to the hospital and back its been a blur ~ but now he is on the mend and back at his home and we are slowly trying to get back to normal here.
I have lots of finished crafting projects to photograph and send off to the relevant parties :) but here's a card I made for a special birthday Lots more crafty goodies to show but as of yet I really have failed to get my camera out for a couple of weeks.

Today my Mum is coming here for a few days ~ does anyone else get all weird when their Mum comes to stay!! I always have this feeling like I need to blitz blitz and blitz some more.. as if my home is just not up to scratch! Is that a Mother/Daughter thing! Please enlighten me because I'm driving myself mad, thinking I am going to run out of time before everything is done that I want to get done!

I am though having a breather at the moment (obviously updating my blog) and having a well earned cuppa cha...
Anyways the reason my Mum is coming is because for her 60th in October, we bought her tickets to see Cliff Richard (who she states she adores) so tomorrow we will be in my hometown of Birmingham and singing our little hearts away.I would like to add right here and now that I am no Cliffette!!!! I am purely taking my Mother to see him, although come on, you have to admit, I'm so gonna know ALL the words to ALL the songs arent I!!!

Wish me luck :)

Tell all

yep its Tuesday again already :)

Question:- Where in the world have you been?

This is going to be very short me thinks, I cant even really add photos as they are all in the loft! and on the hard drive which is downstairs!

Let me think, right, from early childhood, all our holidays were spent in a friends caravan at the Golden Sands resort in MablethorpeI never went abroad with school but I did go to some ECO place with senior school in Wales!I spent a week in Wales when I was older and toured all over, really beautiful countryside :)

I've been to GreeceSpain (twice)

Florida (working holiday with my job when I was a carer with physically disabled adults - a tough holiday but well worth it)
We spent a week in Dumfries in Scotland as our first family holiday and I was scared to death after a road rage incident!!! Put me off ever going back there again, even though it was so beautiful!and of course Cornwall - which is just my dream place to live
**all images with huge thanks to Google as I just havent got any to hand**

So to conclude, I think I need to get my passport renewed and get travelling! Thanks Emma for pointing this out to me :)

Hefty hessian potato sacks!

Thats what it feels like I currently have under my eyes!

Last night I spent so long up the hospital as Tels dad took ill again and through my powers of persuasion I got him admitted rather than sending him home again! but by the time I got home it was just before midnight and couldnt relax enough to go to bed, so a hot cuppa of latte and the first dose of I'm a Celebrity did the trick
I have to admit, this show is the only reality show I adore! I get hooked from day one, just makes me laugh and this guy is the funniest so far!
In his words 'screaming like a girl'and this guy make me spit my latte chuckling (quietly so as not to wake everyone up) when he went rolling down the slope and his saviour was been wrapped around a tree! I poured lots of tears over that lol bless himOur Sunday challenge is up and running and was sponsored by the wonderful Indigo Mill, Loved the 'lemon grass' crate papersI made this layout using the photo I took of my friends, and a huge thank you to them for quickly arriving last night so I could run and relieve Tel from his hospital duty, thank you honeys x

Tuesday 11 November 2008

Tell all Tuesday!

Well here goes, Emma wants to know

Were you named after anybody?

Umm right I'll try to reduce the length of my answer!

My name is Deanne, but my Dad went to register me and to say he'd had a tipple (few beverages) was an understatement!!!
He wanted to call me Dionne after Dionne Warwick!!!! but it came out Deanne... so all my life I have argued especially with teachers when they call out Diane, 'no sir its Deanne' to find my birth certificate and the actual spelling is DIANE on there - lol

Not impressed - although its better than Joanna which is what my Mum wanted to call me, believe me I am not a Joanna!!! Sounds too posh for me!! lol

Hope I havent bored you!

Monday 10 November 2008

Catch up!

Playing catch up feel like I've missed days blogging but just checked and i havent really! duh

Sunday - We took a drive to Leicester for a shopping trip, ended up more like a walk round as nothing caught our eye, until I came across Habitat that is :) smiles galore hehehe
got a gorgeous ornament for the christmas tree! and some gorgeous gift wrap that as soon as I saw it I knew that that was my next crafting project! :) So watch this space

In the evening we watched this and it was awesome, we love anything Marvel in this house and this has to be one of the best films I've seen yet, Jack was giggling most of the way through it! and I was like 'ooh ahh' :) A must watch film, and it was on blu ray which made it all the more better, or so Tel kept saying anyways!
Our challenge blog went live last night, quickly go and check it out, TIME is against you else!!!

Today - School run for Jack then I got Cazz to come with me on a possible nursery visit for Riley, Oh My God! It was dire, I cant quite put into words what I saw but it was truly dire, depressing and dirty!!! My son will not be going there whether its for 3 hours or not! Urgh...
I have a wedding stationery delivery to do tonight and we have Tels dad staying over as I have to take him to hospital in the morning ready for his operation.
Thats all folks for now x

Saturday 8 November 2008

Never to be the same!

Saturday mornings are never to be the same again!
When I was a kid I couldnt wait to get up on a Saturday and watch thisloved it! lol
and back when cartoons were only aired on a Saturday morning and you had to wait a whole week before part two would be shown! Nowadays kids get it three times a day on the same channel - I hate that, they have no build up and no real excitement about whats going to happen next as they only have to wait 3 minutes! Do you agree... :)

But for me - today - as an adult, my Saturday wont be the same again as I'll be doing thisI've made a decision to leave fat club (Slimming World to everyone else) as it just wasnt happening, combined with pressure and a relaxed attitude! I wasnt getting to where I want to be, my consultant is the best and I do want to go back but I do need to leave to sort it all out. So I've decided to do it from home for awhile as I do seem to have more will power when I do it that way, so fingers crossed for next Saturday morning!

I will be very very sad not to go to group anymore because I have made some lovely friends but I'm sure we will all keep in touch :)

Friday 7 November 2008

Tell all Tuesday!

yes I know its Friday but I'm a bit behind like that!! You'll get use to it :)
The lovely Emma over at Jellybelly Jellybrain is having a tell all Tuesday so I thought I'd join in like my life isnt busy enough but hey :)

The question - When was the last time you were disappointed?

Recently I purchased a tumble dryer as my trusty old one really had seen better days, and the fact everything was coming out wet was another sign the thing had died :(

So I purchased a cool new one - or so I thought - it sounds like I'm standing next to a aeroplane about ready to fly off!!! The tv has to be turned up to nearly 40 so we can hear it!!! I cant have it on at night because it wakes Riley up and I cant have it on through the night because I cant sleep with it on!!!! This is the bugger....
So never and I mean NEVER purchase a hotpoint condenser tumble dryer - you will regret it for the rest of your days - to the point that we are now considering buying another new quieter one!!!
Thats all from me folks :)
Have a good weekend x

Thursday 6 November 2008

Heres a sneaky of my challenge for this coming Sunday! Ummmm I wonder what it could be!I'm busy making some handicrafts for my upcoming fair in December! So lots of christmas puds lying around waiting to be stitched :)
Thats it from me at the moment, I'm off to write my complaint letter to Next Electrics!! As they are useless, did I mention that I have to wait in for a third day regarding a washing machine!!!! Dont get me started... I currently have two brand new washing machines in my house because they refused to remove their mistake delivery!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
