and more and more and more Zzzzz's please!
Riley is soooo miserable at the moment, he has a pretty good sleep after breakfast and after that forget it. He finally went to sleep at 11.30pm!! So I'm just having a 'late' moment to myself.
No crafting today, but I have sorted out ALOT of craft junk and the small space I have to store everything, so I'm pretty pleased with doing that, it was my project for the day and I succeeded! Wah hey...
Right I'm off to bed, with new craft projects to show tomorrow hopefully.

Caardvarks & Sketch this cards

Caardvarks have a challenge going at the moment - Make a card using Chipboard on your card front, so heres my take, kinda fell in nicely as I was asked to make a christening card for someone, but more girly and personal!

Products used are Sassafras - Serendipity papers, Elegant & Coconut Cream, Deluxe Designs chipboard base, Satin ribbon and bling from stash.

Sketch this cards are asking for more designers on their blog, so I thought I'd give it a go, I dare say wont get anywhere as there are sooo many talented peeps out there, but heres a sneak peek of two designs that I've sent in.

Was going to put these on yesterday but little un is still poorly and very miserable with it! x

Zzzzz

Well what a few days! Firstly, just to get it off my chest I am NOT liking 'Virgin' internet services at the moment! bla bla bla ... rubbish!
Jack has antibiotics for his mouth, Riley has been really poorly with a cold and possible teething pangs too, he's still not right now, bless him.
Finally he's asleep, so I managed to catch up with crafting some cards for blog challenges.
Will post photos tomorrow as bit too dark now! Blimey is that the time 23:42!!!! I'm off to bed.
Night night x

Products used are Flower Fairy decoupage and scraps from stash.

...and last but not least, some family photos. Jack not only got his praise card on Friday but also his superstar, which we are all very happy about

and Riley has something about this stool!

Phew, that was a long one - Logging off now x

Sunday 23 September 2007

S.O.S

Its show off Sunday on HS-MS so heres my attempt.

I keep saying how crap my camera is, as its only a KodakC330 but it at least works sometimes. This was took in Cornwall near to where we were staying!
I didnt participate in Self Portrait Saturday, as I have two poorly boys, but I'll try to upload something later. Jack is really suffering with his teeth and they are both full of a cold, with Riley constantly sneezing - bless um.
I'm busy putting the finishing touches to my papertake challenge, so hopefully a sneek peak later of that too. Till then x

Friday 21 September 2007

What a day!

I don't fancy another day like today in a hurry! I'm shattered.
I had to get Jack to see the emergency dentist at 9am, as his face was all swollen and I knew he needed antibiotics, then drop him off at school.
Then home, then course (which was distressing to say the least!) I wont go into it as its abit raw, but it was very hard today, opening up a can of worms as they say.
I had to leave the course early to go and see Jack receive his praise postcard and I got an extra surprise as he got his superstar award too (photos tomorrow)
Hence due to all the activities, Riley hasn't slept, bar 15mins. He cried throughout most of the creche time too - bless him.
Terry out tonight, just received a worrying phone call from him, but wont go into it, I just hope hes okay!
Thanks Cazz for listening to me ramble on as always. Big hug to you x
Happier day tomorrow - needs to be. x

HS-MS and PND!

HS-MS today is Stare - To look fixedly or vacantly at someone or something.
This penguin was taken at the skegness sealife centre in the holidays, he looks in a right world of his own doesnt he. I love penguins though and these three are right old birds! lol

Currently I'm doing a course on postnatal depression.
I don't really want to use my blog to post this type of stuff, but I've felt pretty crappy all week, very tearful, low and really lonely! Which is silly as I have two boys and a fella to keep me occupied but still, I've had that feeling of loneliness which is just horrible.

Update

I've been so busy the last week or so, with making up samples and an order for birth announcements, so I thought I'd share the announcements with you.
You know when your really worried they wont like them, well I've been like that for days to be honest but its what they wanted exactly, so I'm sure they'll be fine. Shouldnt worry but I do, especially when you put your heart and soul into making stuff for someone else and when theres 60 of them to do.

They look so simple to do, but the amount of cutting, inking, printing and sticking that goes into them is a nightmare. But they were a bespoke order so hopefully if I get more similar orders I'm make it so they are simpler to produce!

Also, lots of questions re cats head! Once I retrieve it from underneath the TV unit I'll superduperwuperglue it back on, and well out of babies reach! lol
Oh well, time to move everything UP now then x

HS-MS

Break - To seperate into pieces. Show us 'break' in your space today. Funnily enough, I was going to post this pic today anyway, because I was gutted!
Break, as in kids break adult stuff all the time, but never their own toys, whats that about! Not fair... the head went flying under the tv unit.
Jacks interpretation of it though was (I was in the kitchen)

'Mummy Mummy, Riley and the cats head arghhh the cats head'
I literally flew into the living room, thinking he had the real cat by the head!!!!
and then I saw my lovely trio... Naughty Riley.

I was talking to my friend the other day about my dream car, and if I won the lottery bla bla bla. Here she is, my baby, my dream, my fantasy, a mere quater of a mill is nothing surely (if you won the lottery - lol)Found this one on EBAY, bids were still at 230,000 eeeekkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk. x

HS-MS

Quirky - Something characterised by the peculiar or unexpected. Find something 'quirky' today in your space.

My favourite film - ever ever - is The Crow. My honey bought me this when we first started dating. Its a nodding head, of Brandon Lee of course!!! Perculiar I hope!!! But I l o v e it.

Been mega busy today sorting out some sample orders, Lets hope more come of that.
Right I'm off, Riley is currently bouncing from one side of the room to the other!! and badly wants hold of the X-Box. He's already broke one of my puddys today! Will show tomorrow! boo hoo x

Tuesday 18 September 2007

HS-MS

Hang - To suspend, be suspended or dangle. Show us 'hang' in your space today.
This gorgeous windchime has travelled all the way from Greece. Terry and his Dad went there for a holiday as his dad was in the war there and felt he needed to re-visit.
This isnt currently hanging in our garden as its not to how we want it at the moment and I dont want it to get ruined. The windchime itself is very long, but the photo shows the 'hanging' bird at the top!
Be back with more later.

HS-MS and more

Todays prompt is 'US'... wanted to use one of Me and Tel but after looking through there arent that many, gonna have too remedy that, mind you its prob my fault! I feel to self concious to show me off properly... and the fact he comes home in a hi-viz lol. But since this photo was took, I've lost approx 10lb in weight - yippee - and still very slowly coming off. Also, thanks to Cazz! I'm slowly trawling my way through 'facebook' it well confuses me and is so blooming s l o w. Anyways for my profile pic I chose my SPS shot from this Saturday and I used the 'sketch' application and it came out like this - cool eh!Nothing much else to add tonight, just busy in home so no general crafting done today. x

Sunday 16 September 2007

knackered!

Busy busy busy... Firstly the take for HS-MS today is 'Show off Sunday' which means any pic we want/are proud of etc pop onto your blog. This is what I have chosen today, its from our holiday in Cornwall and its not a perfect photo shot, but I love it because of the colours and just how busy it is.Ask all who know me, I truly loved our holiday there tons and tons and I never stop talking about the place, this photo was Newquay!

Also today was another fair, I had the help of my bestest buddy Cazz, and in all honesty the positive feedback was fantastic and has left me feeling great about my designs, website, costs and generally the fact that I must be doing something right! So thank you to all at Stoneleigh Wedding Fair today.
Me and Cazz also saw a fair few 'fall in love to die for' wedding dresses, I certainly know where I'll be getting mine from! Also at last weeks wedding fair, in the magazine was 'the' most beautiful colour, apparantly green is very in this season, check this beauty out!!!

Right I'm off to bed, I have a busy day tomorrow, making and sending lots of samples out. x
Just want to say thank you again honey for your help today, means alot. Big Hug x

SPS # 4

The day quite a few of us dread I think, I mean its just too early for this, but I know I aint gonna look no better during the day either - lol. Heres my self portrait for HS-MS. Far better 'mood' than last weeks... infact I actually have two, its where I've cropped and couldnt decide which to use so I'll use both.
These are certainly early morning photos, no makeup to cover my red cheeks!!!! lol

Friday 14 September 2007

HS-MS

Tweezers - An instrument for picking up small objects. Find tweezers in your space today.I know its in focus at the wrong end, but I just kinda like the shot!

There is a story to tweezers in this house, apart from the obvious brow pluckers and button picker upper...
Last summer, Jack decided to stick something up his nose! It was a casualty job, because as I said, blow, he sniffed and up the blighter went!!! We were then sent to another casualty as it was only 7am and there was no-one there available to remove it! so I had to drive for 40 mins to the next hospital! Got there, they had no idea who we were, even though it had been rang through!!! yeah right!

I then had to sit and hold his hand whilst a doctor told me, 'I will try this only once!!!' then I will have to put him under to get it out. Thank god, it came out the first time! It even looked painful...eekk, and bless him, normally he's so emotional but he was so brave... then...2 days later he shoved a bloody sugar puff up his nose!!!! Whatttttttttttt so out came the tweezers and I managed to get it as it was only slightly UP THERE...

Since that day he has never (touch wood) done anything like that again.... Kids are defo sent to try us.
Back later with more stuff...

Thursday 13 September 2007

Bumble bee

Well the prompt for HS-MS today is Curious - Eager to know or learn. Find 'curious' in your space today.
Well in all honesty I dont have a photo, or one that I can see is curious, and smiley riley wasnt playing much either for the camera - typically.
But tonight we all sat down and watched the new 'Transformers' movie, we have it, dont ask how! and Jacks face was just lit up the whole way through it (he'd already seen it at the cinema as well - so was telling me all the way through what was going to happen! I hadnt seen it I might add) and anyways, I was curious as to why he loved it so much! But when I saw him show his emotional side when you think bumble bee is going to die, I suddenly became aware I was upset too!!!!! Why the hell was that, I am more than curious now.... lol

Me - 'is he going to die' 'is he going to be alright' 'will he transform into something else' ' oh look hes okay - i think'.... lol

So a big thank you to bumble bee for making me a child again for five mins (some may argue for longer, but its me you gotta listen too)

Night night x

DCM DARE...

Had a burst of crafting energy last night! So made last Fridays and Tuesday little extra for DCM
make and show a Christmas card which incorporates the following:
Some Paper Tearing
The colour Purple
AND
It has to have at least one hole somewhere in the design!

I used purple chrimbo paper from my stash, so really cant remember who its by, rub ons and a very large hole! and of course some torn paper!!! Snowflake embellishment is E-ZBig & Little We'd like you to use items in pairs of Big and Little - so you need to have both sizes on your card ie big & little

Again used papers from stash, Santa is an e-z embellishment also and hand stitched 'santa'. Very into stitching at the moment... One LARGE and one SMALL button...
Be back later with HS-MS hopefully...

Wednesday 12 September 2007

Yippee

I've actually managed to add a photo to my blog header! Wow purely by accident, its one of my recent cards too - must admit it - I love it.
This evening I have been busy and made two cards for the DCM challenge but I will add tomorrow as again too dark at the moment!
A busy day today, Riley had his 7mth check up and he is doing really well, I cannot believe the little chunk meister weighs just over 17lbs and is now 68cms, he'll be taller than Aunty Cazz soon - lmao.
I generally find it emotional going to see the health visitor at the moment! My edingburgh score keeps been high but I'm starting a course on Friday that runs for approx 8 weeks, its aimed to help women deal with Post Natal Depression.
I'm not saying I have it, but I certainly had it before after having Jack, and I am very aware of it now and from time to time feel very very low! But I do have two beautiful boys to keep me going and nothing would stop me doing that. Hopefully this course will provide the help and understanding I need to get through this 'moment' in my life.

Sorry to share something so personal but sometimes its better when its all put down in type!

Oooooooh something I found to put a smile on my face anyway - sadly I am abit of a buffy and angel fan!!!!! Esp James Marsters....

OOh sleep well after seeing that - lmao x

Bad Girls

This is my Top Designer LO!!! Its colour therapy. My reason really for doing all blues is
a) because I have my boys b) I've never really seen blue as a cold colour, I think its quite warming in the right place and c) because its for his room - lol.
I've been meaning to do a picture for his bedroom for awhile now, and this gave me the inspiration to do it.
The red stitching is to highlight the collar in his outfit and hopefully bring it altogether. Not too much I hope, but I'm kinda into that right now.

Products used are blue bazzil cardstock, Basic Grey romani papers, buttons and lots of hand stitching.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I'll be back later with my Kiss challenge from HS-MS, need to find a willing subject first - lol x

Tuesday 11 September 2007

Ummm

just a quickie, should be in bed as knackered, but I've finished my LO for bad girls, but will photograph tomorrow in better light!
Jack and his friend Jake started beavers tonight, bless um.
My little un is such an emotional boy, he doesnt really like confrontation, sudden loudness etc, so he did get a bit tearful as I dropped him off and when Daddy picked him up. Hopefully this will help with his confidence, as he has got so much to offer but holds back alot of the time.
Anyways see you with a better update in the morning.

Oh and if anyone has any idea how to get a white gel pen restarted, let me know, cause I am fed up of popping to the shop to always get another one! Once I havent used it for a week say, it stops working altogether! I try everything.... very annoying.

Playing catch up

...again...
I did have the HS-MS for yesterday, but it was just too late and dark to photograph.

Cake - A soft, sweet food. Find 'cake' in your space today.
Some lovely homemade ginger cakes, I ran out of cake cases so had to use mini ones too, perfect size for a lunch box though!
Print - To produce in large quantities by mechanical process. Find 'print' in your space today.
My printer is loaded on top with all my cornwall goodies - really miss my holiday there and my funky little sunshine buddie...

And as for this little monster, you'd think butter wouldnt melt right! Your wrong, this boy can shout, he is so vocal, you can just really tell he wants to be up about doing stuff, he watches Jacks every move. I'm looking forward to his next development of crawling but with anticipation - lol.Right I have the general day to day stuff to go on with today and then I want to get started and finished on my LO for bad girls, once screamer is asleep that is - lol x

Monday 10 September 2007

Gone green...

... no i'm not floating through the grass with no shoes on. Just felt like been green today, actually it was inspired from my wedding fair yesterday. I saw the most beautiful prom/bridesmaid dress and it was 'green' and I got thinking, ummmm I like it.....
Will add more later.
Does anyone know where I can get a better looking template and blog header though, thats easy for me to use!!!!
I'll leave with a few photos of my wedding fair though, not many designs on the table as I didnt want to overload it, hence the folder and I also promoted my website alot.

It was quite dark in there to begin with, so apologise for the moody photos. ttfn

Saturday 8 September 2007

All about little ole me...

... HS-MS today is SPS (Self portrait Saturday- I believe)
I'm not really into one self at the moment - lol. Feeling pretty crappy today actually, very tearful and argumentative and just feeling that everything and everyone is against me, which is silly cause I know they arent, but I cant help that feeling.
So to continue with hs-ms, my photo is self shot! I do have my head down cause I just wanted to show how I feel, hopefully next weeks should be much better...

Can you see all the crafting going on in the background, nightmare, I have my very first wedding fair tomorrow and I'm bricking it. An order of cardstock and flowers hasnt arrived, so I am down on samples and new designs... but I will make do with what I have, hopefully, I'm sure I'll be able to talk my way round it. I have two more fairs after this, so any problems tomorrow I'll certainly be able to sort ready for the others.

Ttfn from a right ole grumpy cow! lol xxx

Friday 7 September 2007

HS-MS

Talk - To converse or communicate. Show us 'talk' in your space today.

This is a wierd one, my friends just been over (Hi Cazztastrophe- as Tel calls her) and I said to her about this challenge, how I didnt just want to use a mobile etc, and then I saw LaLa lying on the floor. This was Jacks when he was a baby and he came downstairs with it ages ago and told Riley he could have it - how sweet - anyhows - wheres this leading your saying - LaLa talks and sings to you!!! head, shoulders, knees and toes - knees and toes - lol and Riley adores it.

Also I bought this for Tel after Riley was born as I thought it was gorgeous and really showed a bond between daddy and son - its called New Dad.
A silent talk here I think. I just love it though.
Also Top Designer class started today over at Bad Girls, so I've signed in and told teacher I'm here, my assignment needs to be in by next Thursday - should just have enough time to come up with something...ummm thinking cap is on.
Night night for now. x
